Are you good in remembering names? I admit it. Im not good in remembering names of people I've met or once share my years with like my classmates when I was in highschool and college. I dont know if its because they're not that interesting or its just me.

No I am not very good. In fact I mix my students names a lot. Especially if they resemble each other!

I am 51 years old and I am terrible at remembering names. I have had alot of people coming up to me calling me by name. They'd say how you doin?I'd say great, how are you doin? And I recogn ize their face but did not no their name and there have been a few times I didn't know who they were. And here is a followup question to that. When that happens, do you tell them you can't remember their name or do you act like you know who they are? I feel bad that I can't remember so I act like I remember them.

I wouldn't say I am good at remembering names. But I am able to remember certain names of people especially if the names are familiar or has some connection to me....if not, then i have a hard time remembering names....but I always remember a face if I have seen it already.....

I am horrible at remembering names when I first meet people, but it's not so bad if it's just one person. If I am meeting 2 or 3 people at one time and they each tell me their name, I tend to forget all of them within 2 minutes of me talking to them. If I am meeting only one person, it is ALOT easier for me to remember their name, but it still takes me awhile to officially know their name. It usually takes me days of seeing that person to really know their name. It also matters if they have a simple or complex/unique name because usually when people have a "different" type of name, it is easier for me to remember than the simple "John" or "Dan".
