Went through my friends list...

I've been away from myLot for a while, or at least only intermittently here. Recently though, I've been getting back into the swing of things, slowly but surely. I decided this evening to revisit my friends list to see who was still around and who had moved on. I was dismayed to find that about 2/3 of my friends list were no longer active! Some people I was relieved to find are still here, but the vast majority seem to be mia. Has anyone else had this type of experience? How long have you been here on myLot?

I had a situation that caused me to delete all my contacts and start shutting down my account, when I decided not to shut it down and went through re-adding my friends I found that there were alot, like over 30 pages, of ppl that hadn't been on in more than 5 months. I had heard that several had left but I didn't realize there was that many. [b]~~IN SEARCH OF PEACE WITHIN~~ **AGAINST THE STORMS, I WILL STAND STRONG** [/b]

I don't remember how long I've been here (too lazy to look it up), but people come and people go. Many of my old friends are no longer around. I come and go, too, kind of like you! :)

This is a normal pattern with all kinds of social networks. I have found it on MSN, yahoo, and remember ICQ oh so long ago...? It's just the nature of the beast, the online world and its communities. Folks come and go, some move on to other technologies or communities, some just have other things to go in life.

Hi, friend! I was also MIA for the longest time (about 2 years) and just got back last month. Glad you're back. I am not as active as before, though. I have a busy regular job and I just log on whenever I have spare time. The first thing I did was to revisit my friends list, too. I was also surprised that majority of them are inactive. I felt a bit sad because there were some of them whom I communicated with through myLot on a regular basis. I have accepted a lot of new friends now, and it's back to where I left off before. Welcome back and happy myLotting!

Yeah, this is exactly what I'm talking about. I was surprised to see so many were gone! I expected some to have dropped off, but wow -- that was a lot!
