Bus driver said no eating/food on the bus

My 3 1/2 year old is in preschool they do have a bus that picks him up at the end of our road they vary in times well this morning we were running a bit late and my son is one who has to eat as soon as he gets up or he thinks hes kust dying of strvation anyways since we were running late I grabed him a poptart thinking he would have time to eat it while we waited for the bus well imagine the bus got there as soon as he opened it well I told him he could take it with him well we step on the bus and she says now you know you cant eat on the bus give it back to your mom it aggervated me because the bus is usually later than they were this morning and not only that they still had an hour befor they would feed him and my poor little guy was hungry
do you think its right or wrong

of course i would agree let him eat but you know how the schools are about rules they feel if they break one they may have to break them all.i feel for the little guy he had go to school hungry so people are upset when they don,t eat breakfast you see a big change after they eat.sorry what happen

well I think there is eating and there is eating, a pop tart is not like opening a bag of fish and chips but then I guess it would be hard for the bus company to stipulate what is ok or not, I think maybe the rule was probably brought in because of the people who eat and leave a mess but a pop tart when the mother is there is a bit rough I think...

I would not make a fuss out of this if it is a short drive to school. However if it is a long drive to school I would talk to the bus driver and try to explain to him that your son wakes up so early that sometimes it s hard for him to have food at home before leaving for school. Educate your son to keep tidy and pack all the food wrappings and throw them in a bin to help the driver to keep the bus tidy.
I don't blame the driver to have this rule since he has to keep the bus tidy! I went in UK on buses and they don't allow food either.
