Do you think the idea of a Toon Link series was a good choice?

In the legend of zelda we have seen the fly view games like minish cap and also the 3d more realistic ones like ocarina of time, majora's mask and twilight princess. What i'm asking is if the windwaker would have been better to be more 3d like the ocarina of time and majora's mask which were on an inferior consoles and made before windwaker. So was toon link series a good idea?

I think that WindWaker was a good game. That being said, I think it was a terrible Zelda game. It RUINED the face of the Zelda series. Especially after Ocarina of time; OoT was so.....realish, that everyone was mostly proportionate, it was dark in some places, light in others, and it was just a good adventure game. WindWaker was happy-sunshine world. Everything was so cheery, and Link looked like the smiley face from Walmart.
I don't know if WindWaker could have been pulled off as a "legit" 3d game like OoT or MM. But I do know that "Toon" Zelda shouldn't replace "real" Zelda.

It was an alright idea, although I feel like there are two different versions of my favorite Hero of Time. When I first played Wind Waker I was a little disappointed I was never officially "Link", but just some toon like descendant who like to stab pigs.

It was an ok idea and worked quite well, the game really seemed different and as though you were "playing a cartoon".
However, I don't think thay should do it again (ok for DS games) because Zelda is best when it's presented like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.
TP really highlighted this and was an excellent game.
To answer your question, yes i think it was a good idea but hope they don't go back to it - it worked well in that time.
