Do men fart more than women?

I do think men do it more...I just think a lot of the time men want to be heard! lol. They want to make it louder and more gruesome for any of his friends around. Women try to isolate themselves or make sure no one hears it lol. So I don't think men fart more, I just think we hear it more from them...us girls are sneaky! lol.

hi mercuryman3a, i love this question! im a woman and i'll be completely honest, i fart LOL not as much as some other people i know (mostly guys) but i dont think women should be ashamed its such a natural thing just laugh it off :) i think men may do it more but i also think it has to do with a person's diet and what they eat and how good their digestive system is.

We don't have proof. All we have is based on our observations. May be someone out there can make a research on this matter.

I don't think that men necessarily have the need to pass gas more, its just that they are more comfortable with it. Most women will get embarrased and so they tend to just "hold it in" if possible or just leave the room. Be honest, most guys would be unattracted to a girl that they just met that let one out.

Your question makes me laugh but I agree with you on that. My father use to fart very often and you should have seen my mom's face at that time. She gets wild and embarassed when ever he does it. He has got so use to it he does not care who is around. I think women can control it but men don't even thinking of controlling. I sometimes feel that men do that intentionally. I too would like to know the reason for it.
