Hi everyone! Well, I am afraid to know that I am sick of something. I am not that strong to find out that there's something wrong with my health especially if its serious. I'm not sure if I can handle the pain and my emotions. One more reason is that I am not that rich and I might not be able to handle the medical expenses. Though I still have my family who can help me but it would be embarrassing in my part if they will pay for the expenses. That's why I'm always taking good care of my health. I am lucky that I don't get sick of anything serious. Only common colds due to my allergies. I also take vitamins to aid in having good health. I still believe that the best cure is prevention. Sometimes when I feel pain of any sort I observe first if the pain would go away or it will become intense. Luckily they just go away and never comes back except for some muscle pains due to stress maybe. I have never been sick of anything serious and I thank God for that. How about you? Do you immediately go to the doctor and have a check up when ever you're feeling pain in your body? Or you just let the pain go away until it gets better. Do you have regular check ups even when you don't feel any pain? What do you do to have a good health? Please do share!

Oh that's really too bad, you want to take care of health but doesn't have the time. You might want to have a vacation and rest from work. Ulcers are dangerous too if they gets serious. I also have problems with my stomach. I have gastritis which I've acquired due skipping meals when I was still studying. I think the feeling when it hurts is somewhat similar to ulcer. I just prevent skipping meals again to prevent it from getting worse. I think you should too eat on time always.

Yes, I'm afraid to know that I am sick. I haven't had a check up in a long, long time. There are things that I already expect to hear from the doctor, if ever I do get a check up, and I guess I don't want to hear them. I do take vitamins all the time and I am not really prone to having fever colds, flu and the like. That's one reason why when I feel pain, I get worried about what could be wrong with me. But I know I should get a check up, just because it is the right thing to do.

Yes, taking vitamins can help us not to get sick. But I guess if you really feel some kind of pain and that you suspects there could be something wrong you better have a check up. It could not be something serious and though its scary to know what it is, you still need a check up. Even I sometimes do have check ups when the pain keeps coming back. I just pray a lot that it's nothing serious.

iskayz I used to be like you then found that I really made my health much worse by not going to the doctor when I first 'had some symptoms. I have learned that its better to be safe with a minor illness than wait until you are so ill its almost an emergency. You are lucky that you have never had anything serious. I have and because I had not gone earlier. My doctor has told me its better to get checked out with early symptoms than to wait and really endanger my health.I am a diabetic and I see my doctor for check ups everythree months. this is necessary believe me.

Hi Hatley! Yah, I guess I'm really lucky and I thank God cause I haven't been sick for almost years now. Hopefully I won't get sick at all. I do take care of my health and maybe my efforts are paying off. Check ups are really important. Though I'm afraid to know that I have an illness, I do visit the doctor if its really necessary. The only thing that prevents me from having check ups are the expenses. Take care Hatley!!

Well, back in March, I realised something was not quite right & went straight to the doctor. I have to say that, knowing what I know now, I wish I hadn't. It was, of course, the sensible thing to do but, after various tests & 2 surgical procedures, I am now faced with the biggest decision of my life & I'm finding it hard to choose between what I want to do and what I'm being advised to do. Having said that, I have always gone for regular routine checks. I guess it seemed the right thing to do until they found something wrong

Yeah, I agree with you. Check ups should be done regularly. It can somehow lessen the risk of getting serious sickness if found out at an early stage. I do have check ups if the pain keeps coming back and getting intense. But I'm still hoping that its nothing serious and luckily, there is nothing seriously wrong with my health. Good health to you always!
