hi all... i am so tired this morning. i slept terribly because the stupid cat kept coming upstairs and meowing and scratching at my door. i was about to throw her in the basement for the night! the past few nights my 1-year old has been waking up multiple times during the night as well. i think he may be getting a cold because he seems congested. my hubby and i take turns getting up usually, but he is a pretty heavy sleeper, so i end up getting up more often than not. last night i didn't get home from work until 11:45 and then had to make halloween popcorn balls for a party we are going to today. so i am tired and a bit cranky!:)
how does not getting enough sleep affect you and your day? can you shake it off easily or is it harder for you to function?

It was our son who kept waking me at night. Since I am a heavy sleeper too, I let him sleep in our bed and today I woke up with a stiff neck. The joys and sorrows of parenthood.

lol... i know the feeling! my 3-year old has slept in our bed a couple of times, and he is all over the bed! i would end up waking up on the very edge of my side of the bed... and we have a king-sized bed! :) thanks for the reply! have a great day!

my youngest sometimes sneaks into our bed and has a habit of lying horizontally so as you can imagine neither myself nor my husband get much sleep!!!

When I used to work, that was before I have my baby, I made sure that I had enough sleep. I had to deal with teenagers and they can be very challenging. So I have to keep my cool. If I don't have enough sleep, I will get cranky and it won't be nice to vent it on these kids. I also cannot function properly.
BUt nowadays, I'm not getting as much sleep as I used to, especially uninterrupted ones. My daughter is also waking up at night and finding it hard to go back to sleep. She sleeps with us and she would roll from one my end to my hubby for an hour or so, before falling back to sleep. I'm awoken by her movement and I had to wake up to shift her position. Sometimes she has her feet at my neck, you see.

Not having enough sleep is not my problem. I often have enough sleep which is a real privilege in this world. I work in a farm and this is a far cry from the rat race. Cheers!!

With out getting enough sleep, life would be very bad and miserable. According to an article, we can’t compensate the sleep lost at night. Human body is designed as to work in morning and sleep at night. We get into heavy sleep by 2 a.m. This means that, those who have to work at night will have all chances of getting ailments related to insomnia.
