Does an affiliate type of business clicks?

The truth is I am not really very sure about how and what an affiliate business is. I've been reading this term and this kind of online business since the first time I started to be online but I don't really have a real good idea on what it is really. Would you help me figure this out?

Affiliate Bussiness is like just referring some people to their site or product. If you had a loads of traffic in you site, you can sent some of them successfully to their site and they will pay you depending on how many members visited through your link or how many members makes use of their products or services. It was a little bit hard task, but was easy if you had a page rank site.

Not exactly. You can do affiliate market with a blog and also with nothing. You can do this by just posting your links in forums and somewhere. But Its a little difficult task. If you have a well traffic to your blog or site, It make you affiliate marketting very easy.

Well affiliate is that you sell things for others.
Like if you have mobile-phone shop. If someone signs up as your affiliate.
He's selling phones for you, so he doesn't have to buy phone etc.
But for every phone he selles for you, you give him a percentage of your earnings.
You have a lot of variations but this is the basic i think

It's like MLM(Multi level Marketing).
Talk to the people, try to convence them. Tell about your business feature.
And invite them to join your team. When he/she join you will get commission from his activities/earning.
