You should see this house. I think the hubby flipped his lid. He and some of his family came and cut the house in 1/2.
Cambodian couple saws their house in half in order to make their divorce easier under the law. a divorce settlement that entailed sawing in two the wooden house they once shared, villagers said Friday. The husband, 42-year-old Moeun Sarim, has taken away with him all the bits and pieces of his half a house, said his 35-year-old wife, Vat Navy.
"Very strange, but this is what my husband wanted,"

Do you know anyone who has had an unusual divorce settlement?

I wonder who got the bathroom and who got the kitchen? That is seriously the bizarrest thing I ever heard of someone doing. Wouldn't it had been easier to just sell the house and split the proceeds from the sell? All he did was make life harder on them..

That was very unusual. Some people can suffer mental lock-jaw and be unshakable from their beliefs despite any evidence. In this case, however, I at least consider the opinion that the woman was attracted to the officer in the story. It would explain why she so easily (apparently) agreed to the divorce. Her husband, however, is a real fruitcake. Certainly, cutting a house in half is destroying it. The wife doesn't get half the marital assets if the house is essentially destroyed. I should think she should be able to sue for loss of the monetary value.

Well it is a simple method to solve out your differences. There is no need for lawyers to intervene. I just wish my house was made up of wood. I could have followed his example!

How the hell? What do they both think that they will gain by having a house spilt into two. It will not solve anything. They will not be able to live in a half house. What were they thinking! It is other ways to spilt have of their assets in a divorce. Spitting up a home is not the answer! This is totally absurd! I don't know any other unusual divorce settlements, but this one is the craziest one that I have ever heard of! The things that people will do in this world!
