Do you know the name of your friend’s mom?

I have four close friends back in high school; I have one close friend in college. My friends in high school are all girls and we do a lot of crazy things together. Our moms would only allow us if they know that a certain friend is with us. That was my best friend; she was the trusted companion in our circle of friends. Every mom would ask if she was with us, and if not, they would not allow us. Well since her mom is a teacher, our mom thinks that she is a good influence on us. And last weekend we drop by at her house to get her wedding invitation. Which prompts me to think if I know her mom’s name? Luckily I still remember it, and then I keep thinking how about my other close friends? Do I still know or even bother to know their mom’s name? Or do they even know my mom’s name? Oh well, I thought I know 3 out of 4 of my friends mom’s name, but while writing this I suddenly remembered the name of my other friend. A perfect score for my high school friend’s mom. As for my college friend, oh gosh! I don’t know her mom’s name! And to think she was one of closest and yet I did even bother to know her mom’s name. Crap! How about you? Do you know your friend’s mom name?

Yes, I do know the names of the mom's of my bestfriends during my school days. They are not so many anyway. I only have 2 real close friends during high school while in college I had 3. When I say bestfriends it mean really best friends so we were like sisters and constant companions. I could go to their house freely and had some meals with their family and vice versa.

I have five girlfriends back in high school and we are pretty close to each other's family that eventually, our mothers became friends too. They call my mother "tita Mel" and well, there's Tushay's mama - auntie Minda, Karen's mama -auntie Gangga, Yang's mom -Tita Edna, Mickey's aunt -Tita Buchak and Kathy's father -uncle Paulino (i forgot the name of Kathy's mom!). We still keep in touch and always visit eachother and have get togethers whenever one of us comes home. Three of us are living abroad.

Even though it's been many years since high school and most of them have passed, yes pehpot, I did know my closest friend's mom's and dad's names. Even though we, 'back in the day', referred to them as Mr. and/or Mrs. So and So, I still knew their first names. Everyone knew my parent's names.

I know and remember most of the names of my friend's mums. I don't usually remember their dads name, but do know a few. But I'm not always comfortable in saying their name while talking to them, except for my best friend's mum/dad. So I usually say something like this: Excuse me, Friends name's mum. -question here-.

Yes, I make sure that I know the names of my friend's or acquaintance's mom or anybody close to them. For me, it gives my friend comfort. It's like getting to know your friend's roots and it shows that your friend is really a part of your life. I always ask about my friend's mom. I wanna be involve that much especially if this person is really close to my heart. I can even hang around their house with their moms even if my friend is not there. ^^v

haha.. At least u are much better off than me.. I have got 6 best frenz, but i do not know their mother's or father's name at all.. lol =D ANd even their occupation, it's a blank to me too.. hehe ^_^ I guess it's due to culture and upbringing, whereby in singapore, u will just call each other's parents or my parent's frenz as, aunty, auntie, or uncles ^_^ Just a very general term for all.. hehe ^_^ SO, u are actually much better than most singaporeans.. haha

Oh no, I have issues like that where I just called her tita or ma'am. I know how she looks like and have spent hours chatting before but the next time I saw her minus my friend I instantly had an amnesia which was so humiliating.

I always say hello to my friends' moms so I know their names. I know the names of my good friends' moms but I mostly just call them tita or auntie. :) My friends know my mom's name as well. We've been together since grade school or high school so chances are they've been over to my house and met my parents and vice versa.

I do. I mean, generally, if I know my friend's parents, I remember their names. Not out of interest but because of hearing their names repeatedly, by my friends, thier father or whatever. If she really is a good friend of yours, it won't be long before you know her name. Besides, in high school, you'd see your friends' parents alot more where in college it's a little bit more distant.
