will you keep dogs when not the right time

i love dog very much, and i kept two lovely dogs when i was around 12. but my mother sent them to others for not affecting my study after only 4 months. indeed keeping dogs consume our time and need care. but i think it's really interesting and can do us good in many ways. will you keep dogs in busy work or study?
