How do you stay with your landlady

My landlady is a kind woman.But I can not accept she always want to know it is my house you should obey my rule.Actually I try my best do a good renter but I already paid not cheap rent I can do something with my style.
Am I wrong? Should you give me some advices?

When you don't own your own home and rent a place to live many landlords set rules that everyone has to follow, it does not matter how much rent you pay. What rules has your landlord made that you do not like?
