This is a tutorial made by me to tell you how you change addons that haven't been updated for Firefox 3 easily
please note that this might not work on every addon, but i think that it will work on
+- 90%of all addons.
ok, so let's get started.
Download the actual addon file from the Firefox addon page using IE. This will result in a .xpi file. Save it to the desktop for convenience.
Open the .xpi file with winrar you will see a file called install.rdf, drag it to the desktop.
Now open the install.rdf file with notepad search number indicating the version of Firefox it was made for, now just change it to the version of Firefox you are using.
Now hit save close notepad.
Now just drag the install.rdf file back into winrar when you get the window of archive name and parameters just hit OK.
Close winrar.
Now all you have to do is drag the .xpi file into Firefox and it should work.
hope it helps for you guys to make some old great addons back into working addons.

This is a very good tutorial on mozilla firefox addons. I hope a lot of people benefit from it. I myself never used addons. Maybe I will start using one now. Cheers!!
