How Does the MyLot Reputation Star Work?

I finally reached the 100 posts mark, and I am excited to see that I have a reputation star now. While this is an exciting add to my myLot account, I am a little curious as to how the star works. I presently have a mylot reputation of 81/100. What exactly does that mean? How can I improve it and what do I do to keep it from dropping? I see numbers on mylotters ranging from very low up to a 10, and I don't want to have a bad reputation on here, so if there is anyone out there who would offer some guidance on this topic, I would truly appreciate it.
