Please help me move on here at mylot ---- 1 month here.very less progress

its been one month herei have made very less progress here. i dont know why. yesterday i added two people both of them rejected me.today also i added a few people even they rejected me.Please tell me ow to move on here at mylot. i realy dont know.nobody helps around here :( . i really dont know what to do and all. Well initially in the starting here. i have to do discussions right?? but how do ifind them? there is no discussions in my homepage.i am trying to add people but they say, we have nothin in common , so we can be friends and stuff like that. So what should i do here?? Please help me around here

try to add as many interest as you want so you would have something to look into. no one would add someone with just 5 posts on their own backyard. often times , you are a stranger to them and most are wary. so the best thing you do is, make discussions and respond to every discussions that are under your interest or preference and that you have something to contribute and not just for the sake of making a post. make quality and descriptive post, in that way people would be attracted on your response.
