the days and the nights

there were times when i preferred the nights than the days. it happened when i felt sad, gloomy and lack of self confidence. it happened when i felt so much stress, when i had to complete lots of duties but the time i had was very limited and i was pretty sure that i couldn't make it. when i had to complete my duty by 'tomorrow', i would be very happy if the night came, as i thought and promised i would complete it this night, i would work a whole night - though i didn't use to make it either. it happened when i feel lonely, when 'i have nobody' to love or just to talk to. it happened when i didn't know what to do the next day and i thought i could plan it in the night.
and such times was over. for months (i think years) i feel so much confidence and optimistic. i can complete almost all that i have to do. i got some friends and i don't feel lonely. i have no problem in communicating with other, everything is ok. i like the days.
till now. and, somehow, suddenly i like the night....again.
tell me friends, it's just me or you also feel the same?

I like the night better than the day, not only that the night is quiet and calming, night is a very complicated situation. It is silent yet provoking, you are tired but inspirations flows like a river. People told you to go to bed and sleep, but your mind wandering off, seeking for answer with your sleepless thought. Oh my... I become so poetic here LOL.
I just want to imply how wonderful is the night. I like it because I always feel than in the night I was able to get many things that I usually missed in the day. I like nights because I can always be myself because people are sleeping LOL.
and especially, I like nights, because when no one is online, the internet speed boosts twice faster.

yeah, i cannot agree with you more your poetic description explaining the night better than the owner of the nights himself LOL. the silence of the night is really complicated yet romantic, activating my mind and my heart. many inspiration for writing works usually come in the night.
i like the night as there are not so many people staying awake. when i am still studied in college, there are times when i don't want to sleep in the night. there are many art (or other entertaining) show in my city in the night. you know, like music concert, leather puppet show, play, poetry reading, or just comic show. many of them finish after midnight. and when i went home riding bicycle, and i watch the life in the night: dim light, a few people staying awake sleepy and tiring and talking softly, breezing cold wind blow my face and my hair, well, that's so silent, so peace, so romantic. i feel like in the strange world, and at the same time feel like at home, my real home.
and yes, in the night we don't need to use our smiling and cheery mask. we don't need to deal with many people.
and of course the internet speed LOL.

LOL. The night in my hometown were so much more beautiful than here in this big city. I used to go to the top of the roof just to *cough*smoke*cough* and to see the night sky. when the city light is off, I can see the sky perfectly because there were no disturbance from the city. LOL. The perfection.

For me I go to staying up at night when I just want some peace from a fast paced society where I feel I can do things without distractions from others in my house. My mind works fast naturally and sometimes its too overwhelming for these days of a never slow down lifestyle. These days people are so fast paced they don't have time to slow down and think in a rational way. Thats one of the reasons were seeing the top banks breaking down and needing federal relief of their debts or its greed or a combination of both. I really don't see how when your loaning out so much money like that how you can keep track of it all without having finance problems unless you slow down. I'm an introvert for sure and like time to my self and I do have confidence and more so than the other people around me so I would not say I do it because i'm depressed and hopeless. I may have rambled too much but the main reason I stay up at night is because i've what I wrote fast at the beginning of this paragraph.

I think you should be a person who don't like dealing with people,I also have this feeling, when in the night, the people can't see me,then I can do what I can,and I have no stress,I feel so relax,I do not have to go camouflage,I can laugh happily or cry loudly, that's feel great.
