Off with her head!

Do you remember that part in Alice in Wonderland
where the Queen of hearts yells, "Off with her head!",
well that's one of my favorite sayings.
I've often wished that I could simply wish away
my adversaries so easily!
Well, I wouldn't make them lose their head,
but I could wish them to another dimension.
That would be nice.
Have you ever wished that you could get rid
of the people in your life that caused you irritations
like the Queen of Hearts in Wonderland?
Maybe not do them any real violence, but exile them
to another country, far away.

Oh, for sure! Can you imagine how much
less stressful life would be?

Yeah. One of the members of my immediate family is reappy pi$$ing me off these days, and acting like a 4 year old little boy, complete with temper tantrums and all. I wish I could send him to Siberia for the winter, or something. That would really be nice.

Ha!! Thank goodness I don't have that power. I get annoyed quite easily, and I'm not much of a people person (big shock there, lol)... so I think this would be a pretty empty area if I could get rid of anyone I felt like. Guess that's why humans weren't bestowed with a power like that.

I'd never fantasized about cutting off someone's head, but it would be nice if people you don't like would go away. Especially ex-boyfriends. I dated one guy that just would not leave. He even called me a few times after I was married. What a creep. Off with his head... Both of them.

You must have been a fly on the wall Monday! First, I should tell you that my students are in the process of turning my classroom into Wonderland, making a mural that covers every inch of the walls. It's amazing! One of the perks of working at a school that's a magnet for the arts. Cheshire Cat has my face! Anyway, toward the end of third period, we were tying up a discussion of [uCanterbury Tales]when an assistant principal walked in and started screaming about kids being off task (three minutes until the bell, they were putting things in their bookbags as we completed the discussion), and she asked for my lesson plan printouts. I wasn't sure what she meant, because we all keep lesson plans in a planbook, so I hit print for the materials and directions for this lesson. She was really rotten about it, and told me I obviously need to learn how to do lesson plans. She asked for student folders, so I asked a boy who was putting things in his folder to hand her a random stack, and she didn't like those eithr, so she threw them in his face. I should let you know, this woman was one of my students when I taught classes for teachers in lesson planning and how to write them to satisfy the State. In any case, I've never seen so many kids cry when I gave them the don't-dare-open-your-mouth look. I teach high school seniors, and kids who are 17, 18 and 19 don't cry easily in front of others, especially the boys!. I didn't say a word, either, as I was not about to stoop to her level. It's totally inappropriate in front of the kids, of course. As they filed out, I heard almost every one of them shout, "Off with her head!"
Naturally, I've filed a grievance with the Union. The kids have been writing to the principal and the district management, even though I asked them not to, and parents have even come to school to complain. If she asked for my lesson plans, I'd have handed her the book, which is not only absolutley in line with the State mandates; it contains all sorts of extra goodies for the kids who aren't keeping up, and for those whose command of English isn't quite up to par (we're 93% hispanic and I'm sure the world knows refugees land here in Miami).
All that's neither here nor there. The point I wanted to make is that my students and I are all in Wonderland, and "Off with her head!" has taken the place of cursing, at least in that room!

yeah i remember that phrase when i saw a hello kitty series and kitty fall asleep became alice and then went to wonderland. the queen always said that everytime she wanted to get rid of somebody. i understand how you feel coz just like you, i am with someone right now who had done a major damage to my family and to my life and i could not just say "off with her head" sigh..everytime i see her, i remember my father's lamentations and how she ruined his life, even though we could say that blaming others is not the main reason for our live's failure, but the influence of that relative was so great that i could still feel the anger in my heart when i remember what she had done. i wish i could avoid her and revenge and exile her, but i cannot do anything right now to her, well i do not want to do something bad, i just wish she will go back to her real family soon and "off with her head" lol..

There have been many times when I have wished that somebody would do a vanishing act lol if they have been irritating me to the ends of the earth. But off with there heads seems a little bit strong lol, maybe in the days of yore when knihts were bold etc, this would have been the way forward .Im sure that all of us get annoyed by different people, and relations must be a good cause of this, there often seems to be a lot of friction between certain family members, the daughter in laws and the mother in laws being a prime example. If someone is in my face a bit too much for my liking then its easy enough to just get up and walk away.
