Since I attend my school online, I have to say no. However, if you are researching or planning a project, you have to make sure your resources are reliable. One way to make sure is to look at the end of the URL. If it ends in .com it is a business site, if it ends in .edu it is an educational source, .gov is a government dourse, .org is some type of organization....and so on. One resource I use is the little brown handbook. It is very helpful and gives examples of how to cite all of your sources, as well as tips on how to check their credibility. I found mine on ebay for about $15.

I think most projects and things are worked on from ideas, information and fact so getting the information and facts and putting it together with your own ideas is not the same as copy and paste, i think you have to put things in your own words..

It is not cheating. You have to put it in your own words. I mean you would normally go to the library, and look it up in a lot of books, but if the library is not near you and you do not have time, why not use the internet. After all many of the information on the internet came from books, only now it is easier and more organized.

It is not wrong to copy, some of the content, as long as you properly cite your sources. There are some rules that apply to different types of writing that involve word count and the percentage you are using in relation to your paper. That is all in that handbook as well.

The Internet is one of the biggest and most useful resources that this world has ever seen. As long as you're not copying and listing your resources it's not cheating. I feel like the Internet is used so much these days, it's almost stupid not to take advantage of it to research and learn all you can.

Oh, I don't thing so. But really, it depends on the assignment, the expectations, and exactly how you use it. If you copy something without citing it, then it's plagiarism. But if you cite your sources appropriately, then, well, that's part of the goal of learning, right?
On the other hand: if you get someone else to do the work for you, then, well, yeah, that's cheating. But I'm sure that's not what you meant.
