how to deal with stress

Repeat these words; Yesteday was History, Tomorrow is a Mystery and Today is all I've got. So what do you want to do with Today? Life filled with it's ups and downs is a level playing field and we are only passing by, daily we run the human race to create comfort and power, often times falling on our knees tired and weary thinking so close but still need to go a little further, if only we can achieve more, more it will all be better, will it? Wealth, power, comfort all have a price often times taking toll on us emotionally, physically and mentally, STRESS cries, STRESS cries can you hear it? Listen harder how is STRESS calling to you? Is it saying SLOW DOWN? TAKE better care? STOP and smell the fresh country air? Do not wait for STRESS to get the better of you today - take control of your mind and body. STOP! REFLECT and LOVE because today you have only YOU. I share because I too had to STOP and REFLECT on me or LOSE me to Depression but I chose TODAY for me and my family and living one day at a time, changing the things I have control of and letting go the things I have no control of. I COMPLETELY agree with what you have posted here, and it is SO much more important right now for each and eveyone of us to stop and take care of teh precious time that you have Right now. And be careful and gentle with the lives of the onces around you that you love. I recently had a semi-nervous breakdown. But I am a rock and I will be okay. My bad days are behind for now and I take mine one day at a time. I take the time each day to just love the me that almost got lost. Then I am a better one for the ones that Need me in my home. I also have been writing what are called Morning Pages. This was out of a book that I got from the book store called The Artists Way By Julie Cameron. She said to write these morning pages everyday first thing, they have to be 3 pages and you just write whatever you are feeling. You shout on your page, you cry on your page, you complain on your page, you write your dreams, etc..... I guess it has helped me and I have been doing a 5 mile walk at least 3 times a week. She also said something that was so true to this time. " I have learned to pay attention to the right now. The precise moment that I was in was always the only safe place for me. Each moment, taken alone, was always bearable. In the exact now, we are all always alright". I found so much comfort in this. I am glad you have gotten on solid ground. We all need to get there. usually when i feel stress i then close my eyes sitting down and start to meditate. i will just close my eyes and and concentrate on my breathing . this will belp me to overcome stress and make my mind relax.
