Last month I transferred money from PayPal to my bank account and received them few days later. so, I did not even check my PayPal account further. I should have 0$ in it. Also, I spent the money, so my bank account is now very low in $. Recently i got paid by a PTC program and my intentions were to invest some money in that program, so logged in to my PayPal account and... surprise. Instead of 30$ I had there 140$ ... extra $. Well, I verified my transactions. I have 2 transfers from my bank account to PayPal, transactions I never done. More, there were no money in my bank account, how should I have transferred ? All i know is about my 70$ transfer FROM PayPal to my bank account. I already spent that money, as I told you. But it appears now that amount - 70$ - is transferred back to my PayPal account, and not once, but TWICE !!! My PayPal balance is 140$ more than it should normally be !!! I will not touch the money, but the problem is ... what should I do ?! I am waiting some payments now from 2-3 PTC programs. If PayPal blocks my account, if I get limited right now, I might have problems with receiving my payments. And I waited a lot for those money to come, month already ! What should I do ??? And why is that ? In my transfer details they say the transfer to my credit card did not succeed ! So they returned the money to PayPal. But the transfer succeeded, as I said ... I spent those money already. Pls. help, not sure what to do ...

I would contact PayPal customer support and ask them to clarify what happened and what the problem was. On reading your post at first, I thought that maybe you had made the transfer the wrong way yourself - mistakes like that can easily happen: I have nearly done it myself a couple of times! However, I see that it very likely wasn't your error. It does sometimes happen that a transaction appears to go through and may even show up on your bank account but for some reason there is a problem with the transfer at the bank's end and they reject it, sending it back to PayPal. It sounds as if PayPal may have made a mistake in reclaiming $70 twice, though. One thing that puzzled me is that you mention a transfer to your bank account and then say that the transfer to your credit card did not succeed. Credit card accounts and bank (current) accounts are usually separate. A bank account may have a debit card associated with it, though. Is that not the case in your country? As I say, the best thing to do is to contact PayPal and ask them to explain and, if possible to correct the error. I don't see why they should block your account.

You could try making the transfer again before you contact PayPal. If it goes through a second time, you should have no problem. I would wait three to five days, though, just to make sure. It may have been just a temporary glitch in the system. I guess also that calling your credit card company could give you more information about what happened without causing a freeze on your PayPal account.

This is the first time I heard something like this happening to accounts in paypal. This is grossly human mistakes which makes me fear that they could also do some silly mistakes of deducting our money without us realising and crediting it to someone else account. As for your case I can't find a good solution, but the only alternative is to keep your account on hold and you can open up another paypal account for your future transactions.

I also think this is a human mistake. And funny is where from are those money deducted from ?! From my bank or credit card they are not deducted, as I did not have money there ... the only money I had were the 70$, the successful transfer from PayPal - quickly spent. You see, I do not keep money on PayPal or on this credit card. Many things happen on the internet, so, as soon as I have 50-100$ on paypal I transfer or spend/invest. So my PayPal account and the card I use are almost empty all the time. I keep my money on cards not involved in internet transactions. But now, what ?? It is unfair if they will limit my account ! Very ! All I hope is to receive those payments I am waiting for SOON, transfer those money and, after all, email them on this matter! Can't wait!
