I am so disappointed with mylot today.

I will only make one post today. I am demotivated by mylot. Imagine, I made 70 posts yesterday and what they only gave me was 30 cents. I can't think of any reason why they gave that kind of an earning for my 70 posts. i'm sure that most of my posts are with good quality and some of them(very few) are short ones. I can't even think of any violation that I did, if any. i don't really know...

I just recently found out that the MyLot server day ends at around 4-5pm our time or during the time MyLot sends you the MyLot digest(if this feature is turned on). So all earnings after 5pm will be credited for the next day. If you have posted 70 responses yesterday, how many of which are posted before 4pm and how many of which are posted after 5pm. Thanks to ishralene for this information. He just recently told me why my earnings 3 days ago had been split to two days. 3 days ago I have posted 30 responses and the next day I wasn't able to post at all cuz I was out the whole day. When I checked my earnings I was a bit disappointed too since I only received 30 cents but when it updated i received another 40 cents. So it has split to two days because the time MyLot server ends is 12 midnight in the US which is around 4pm our time. I hope this answers your query. Don't fret! You'll see your additional earnings when MyLot updates later.

Oh well, only MyLot decides how much they will give for our post. At least they didn't just give you 30 cents for that 70 posts. I wonder how much time you spent for that 70 posts. How many hours did it take you to post all 70 responses? I can't even top my 30 responses which I have done 4 days ago. And if I' not mistaken I believe it took me 6 hours to accomplish all 30. Yikes! But not continuously, I do have a few minute break every after post. hehehe

Hey there! Yes, it answers my query. thanks a lot. My earning was already updated, but still didn't receive the earnings that I expected. I was hoping at least a dollar ,but mylot only credited my posts by giving me 80 cents.

Gee, I wonder why? I only had 14 posts for the last update, and got 30 cents too. I seem to get about 3c per post on average, I wonder what the difference might be?
Actually, I can't imagine how anyone could make that many posts in a day. It tends to take me several minutes a post at minimum, and that's after trolling through hundreds of stupid one-line discussion topics to find something to actually answer, so seventy posts would take me 8 hours plus search time. Crikey, how do you do it?

Hey there! I made that 70 posts with in 7 hours. I made 80 cents for it, my earnings was updated. I thought that 30 cents was my earnings that day it turn to be that it was my earnings the previous day. But, I still disappointed with mylot. I don't believe 80 cents is worth of my posts. They should have gave me no less than $1 for my work. 8 hours is too long my friend. I don't know, it seems like there were a lot of interesting discussions here in mylot that day that I was able to respond.

I think your 30 cents plus the 80 cents sums up your 70 posts that day since MyLot's cut off time is different from ours. Why? As I've said you need to consider the time. In those 8 hours with 70 posts how many of which were posted before 4pm our time and how many of which were posted after 5 pm our time. Example: If you started MyLotting at 1pmm our time (you said it took you 8 hours to post all 70 responses), you'll end at 9pm our time. You spent 3 hours before 4pm, when the earnings update that day (between 9-10pm) what you will see is what you have accumulated from 5pm the previous day until 4pm that day. which is in this case 30 cents. Then you spent another 5 hours posting which gives you another 80 cents. So to sum it all up. You had an earning of $1.10 for a day. I think MyLot still gave you what you expected to earn that day.

It probably depends on when you made those posts. Some of them may have ended up communted to be included in the next day. What might have happened is that there is an unknown point in time where posts made after that time would be added to the next day's earnings, so see what you end up earning today. Another problem is that some discussions get deleted, & therefore, no matter how good of a response you made, you won't get paid for that.

Hi friend,Initially I had the same feeling too.But in the long run we our earning increases,as mylot earning system remains vague to everyone here.We dont know when our earnings increase or decrease. But on the whole I am very much satisfied with mylot ratings.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

Its so sad to hear that news. At least you earned almost half of what you've posted. I hope that myLot would come up with a price scheme or something like that where we could see how much we could earn in posting and on uploading images. So we could have an idea, which of our posts counts in the earnings and which doesn't counts. BEcause it's really upsetting that you post a lot then you earn lower than what you expected. Anyway, cheer up man! It's not the end of the world.haha!

Hey there! Of course I won't give of on mylot. I love it here. I'm enjoying what I'm doing here, but it just disappointing that you only get that kind of credit. Thanks for your advice and for cheering me up. Happy posting!!

don't let them bother you. just post what you can and it should be all right. i don't pay attention to how much i post and i get what i get. like you said, just make sure the posts are quality posts as well. since they don't say how much you get per post its hard to determine how the hand out the payments. but a good think is just to think, a penny a post and that's the least you'll get. you think that way and you'll always be impressed with what you earn.
also remember, if you posted to topics which violate the TOS, then your credit won't be given either. i don't know if that was the case, but its something to think about.

don't be very disappointed my friend, 80 cents is quite good, imagine if all people here in mylot will post 70 discussions in a day and expect over a dollar earnings, mylot will probably go bankrupt in no time, we are more than a hundred thousand members here and 1 dollar a day for 70 post will be very hard for mylot to give.
i hope you understand, its still better that we have this site to help us earn few dollars than none at all.

I am sorry to hear that.
But I am also not get a well-payment these days. Now I found that I can only get $0.01 for each of my posts, but several month ago the average payment is $0.02 for each.
Take it easy. I think mylot's advantage is not only for paying us by dollar, it also give us chances to make friends, and see the colorful life.
I hope all things will Ok to you.

I think my earnings update around 10:00am everyday or close to it, so I guess time goes in at 12:00am right?..Someone?..I think I'm confusing myself here.

I can understand your frustration but the mylot boards aren't the place to try make a massive amount of money. The cash is the icing on the cake, having a place to go and post to me is the real prize. Besides I can't image haveing 8 hours in a day to just sit and read and post that is crazy.
Good luck to you and I hope you stick around mylot is pretty neat if you ask me.

Quality deciding is done by the mylot team and we cant decide our own quality it merely depends on the topic which u have posted and the quality of responses u got...!!even im confused about this mylot algorithm, the ppl who developed are genious....!!!!its very fuzzyyy

Yea, I know. The same thing happens to me a lot. You just have to find other websites that pay money. Hopefully, you are not just using mylot.

I believe that you should have atleast longer discussions or statements in your posts. It's ok, you're just starting up you will get by in the process.

I have experienced this too, but don't get cynical with it. Just think positive. Disappointments is part of the games sometimes. In my experience, I have posted 105 post in one day, guess how much I earned? $26, yes, its only that amount. Now your eyes are open that volume doesn't count much but the quality of the post does.

dont feel so bad about.just continue what your were used to do.dont lose heart.your earnigns may not be updated yet.or sometimes, thins that we find relevant
might not be that relevant for others.there are thoussands of posibilities.just continue posting and posting.if one day you ralize that you really are not well compensated in what you are doing.you should decide.you can t continue doing a thing if it does not make you feel happy anymore right.make a choice if ever that day comes.
but for now,try to foret about it and just continue.
thigs will get better.

Do not think that you have been ripped until 24 hours have gone by. :) In the meantime, keep on posting so that the following day, you will have move earnings to look forward to. :)
