I think all is fair in love because the fact that you experienced the feeling, is alone rewarding. If it happened that you failed, it gives you life's important lessons. So that the next time you'll fall in love again, you'll know how to take care of the relationship and not repeat the same mistakes. It's the positive way of looking at things and benefiting from the mistakes.

no.. loving should come freely from the other party. there should be no need to fight for it or do devious ploys or strategies in the first place to get the one you love.

Sounds rather trivial to me. May be there's something true behind it but most people don't give it much thought
