Laptop better than a desktop?

i think laptops are better because you can bring it with you everywhere you go. i don't use laptops for different applications. as a teenager, if i had one, i'd only use my laptop for surfing, reports in class, etc. i don't really use complicated stuff.

well i not sure i have a computer and desktop at home and the problem with the laptop is its just too limited compared to the desktop its got hardly enough gigs of memory and its horrible for gaming perposes

Other than the portability, there is another important factor is it's durability and lifespan. The laptop durability and lifespan is often lesser then the desktop because you bring it everywhere thus dust particles have a higher chance to get into the hardware and cause damage to it. Also the average lifespan of a laptop is only about 2 years as you cannot upgrade its parts and the battery time will decrease as time goes by, for a desktop its lifespan in 5 years and more if the user upgrade its hardware. I prefer my desktop. Typically desktops have faster processors and more memory. they also tend not to handle the kinds of stuff I like to do like play World of Warcraft or Sims. I also find the little scroll pad thing a pain, I hate it. The times that I will typically use the laptop is to watch DVDs on the road for my son. Also if I'm not feeling well, I can use the laptop while laying or sitting in bed.

I find my desktop more usefull than laptop.Laptop can be used only by a single person while desktop can be used by the whole family according to need.Portability is there in laptop but then you have to keep it with you everytime whether you are working or not.The sound and mouse problem is also there.But at the same time it is usefull for some specific pueposes also.As a student you can take your laptop in college and use it for your need.You can access internet through Wi-Fi if it is there in college.For office going persons also it is usefull as they can give presentations using it.

i like laptop better. as a student living at school,there is no more place for you to put a desktop, and laptop ia easy to take with , you can not worry about it has been stolen. and its small vol makes it so convinent to take home when meet holiday.
