I think one should have at least a special day once a week - other than the normal weekend treats. Having really nice to look forward to keeps us energized and refreshed. Im actually planning to go malling with my husband and my boys this thursday. It may sound ordinary to some but oh i haven't seen a mall for 9 months now and there's a new one (and first i think) that had just opened last week here. Afterwards, i will surprise husband with his favorite dinner - grilled beef and tossed green salad and beer. I am now getting excited looking forward to it.
What about you? What are special plans you have for this week?

I do have special plans this week, actually been planning since this past April lol. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning or Wed. morning to head to my daughter's. I'll be spending two weeks with her and her hubby, haven't seen them since May. And then while I'm there she and I are going to a Scrapbooking Weekend Retreat, with a view of the beach and ocean! No cooking, no cleaning and no therapy for my wrist for two weeks! I am so ready! lol I have most everything packed and ready except for a few little things, and only have to get the laundry done before I leave so my s/o doesn't have to mess with that. Although he is really great about me going on trips, I know I'll come home to a clean house.

Well that sounds like a near future plan and not a weekend plan yet it is still special because you're doing something for your own good. I wish you success in your studies and good earnings here and in other sites. Thanks for your response.

I really don't have any as of the moment but you are right that we have to look forward to something. as for the malling, I have been to malls almost every weekend, but I would not consider it malling, it was like we enter the mall, we eat halo halo and dinuguan, then we go to toy store or infants section. buy what the kids need or want then off to parking area, no stop overs, no clothes fitting, no shoes trying, no touching, nada, arg! it was like they are showing me candies but not actually tasting it. wait tomorrow is payday, so I look forward to Saturday for our grocery day.

Hi pehpot. Something special need not be expensive. We also used to do the same back home - malling, go to Wonderland - an amusement center/play house for toddlers, window shop after doing the groceries (because if you shcedule the opposite, you may not have enough money for your groceries and the basic needs.) Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to budget your money.

Oh boy, i wish that's also happening to me this week... i miss my family back home. But they have to plan that thing themselves. I am sure you will have a great time. Take your time cleaning. I think you will do better the day before they arrive.

My husband's birthday is Moday. I am planning a special birthday dinner. He will be 36. We have three small boys and we are going to make cards for daddy. The other thing I am doing this week is get together with a friend. I am very excited about that because I am a stay at home mom. I look forward to visiting with friends. I think that is everything for this week, but the following week my husband is going out of town for a week and I am going to clean, clean, clean. He is a pack rat and i am throwing a lot of things out.

You are one sweet wife and you've got a wonderful plans there too. So you're going to cook for your husband? What's your menu? I am so nosy. I am sorry. Anyway, i see that these are pretty special plans including the cleaning. I just hope you won't get to throw by mistake his new birthday cards. Have a great day.

That sounds fun (:
Speaking of the mall, my family rarely ever goes but it has become a tradition to go any time in Dec., before Christmas. Even if we don't buy anything, we'll still go spend an hour or two walking around. My brother and I love people watch. Some people go crazy trying to get those Christmas gifts :P
As for this week, I don't really have anything special planned. I start taking GED classes on Tuesday - that's about the most exciting thing I have lined up, haha.

What's a GED class? I can be so idiotic when it comes to these abbreviations. Anyway, i do like malling for the same reason you have: people watching. I also like looking at new stuffs, clothes, fashion even if i don't buy. I like to compare prices too.

Hi pinky, I think it is good to have one special day in a week! My husband and I go every week in the shopping mall here which is very close, because that's the only place we can get our groceries! We don't have a plan yet but I get excited when weekends comes because I know that I can play bowling (Not every weekend though) and I do enjoy it so much. Is your weekend there is also Friday and Saturday? Just curious friend. What a lovely wife surprising her hubby tonight. I hope that you will have a lot of fun malling this weekend.

I miss doing the groceries. I hope to be able to learn to do it here (language, commuting, etc.) once we go to this mall. Your regular weekends seem to be special already since you do it with your husband and bowling sounds great. Our weekend here is same as yours and that surprise dinner will be this coming thursday. I am happy already since he loved my impromptu dinner last night of baked mac and cheese. Have fun as well CJay!

Sounds great! But how did you manage to stay away from a mall for 9 whole months? What kind of superpower do you have? Even I can't do that!
Hope your weekend went well?
Here it is Monday already but a long weekend. Later I want to go apple picking and take in the country views, mountains, trees, fresh air. Need a break, need a change!
