There are many native food I like. I am from the northern part of the Philippines and it is well known that we have plenty of leafy vegetables there. I like "pinakbet", the combination of different vegetables like eggplant, squash, lady's finger (okra), kidney pea (patani), string beans, etc, cooked with fish sauce and meat cubes. It is one of my favorite vegetable viand. I also like "binagoongan" - the dish prepared with meat, shrimp paste (bagoong na alamang), sugar and chili. I've just learn how to cook it when I was in college already. I stayed in an apartment with many house mates. We usually eat together during dinner. Someone is assigned each night to cook for dinner and it was the time that I learn how to cook it.

I really love Pork Adobo. I would never pass up any meal if that's the viand. It's just really delicious. But aside from that, I really like to eat Pork Humba (sweetened version of Pork Adobo). I'm not sure though if it's widely available on restaurants and carinderia's (small eatery). But I now see them being served. It's just really good. Just take care though. Too much pork. On the other side of the house, I really love eating Potatoes. I'm just not sure what it's called but it's usually with pork (again!) and bell pepper. More like afritada (same ingredients but more sauce) but it's different.

i love eating! rarely do i eat "lutong bahay" because of the nature of my job. fastfood is the easiest way after work. but during my days off i make sure to cook my favorite lutong ulam which is tinola. so far this is the easiest & convenient recipe i can cook. seldom do i eat at carinderias because it doesn't satisfy my taste & also i'm afraid of their food because for me it's not safe. no offense to those who own this kind of business but some are only heating it & is being served twice & some even serve it thrice! this is threatening as it could be prone to food poisoning. going back, if i'm too lazy to cook whta i usually do is go home to my brothers house where my mom is & would request for pinapaitan which is alo my favorite & diningding & the vegetable are fresh from their garden! yumyum! as much as i would like to post recipe's i can't as i'm mylot law abiding. :)

My perennial favorite is tuna omelet. But I prefer to use tuna from European countries because of its rich texture and taste. It is very easy to prepare, for one small can tuna, I use 1 egg, 1 small size onion, and 1 tomato plus chopped celery, saute all ingredients together and season to taste, when cooked pour the egg and presto you have tuna omelet, serve with sweet sauce! yummy

Well my favorite Lutong Bahay are kare-kare, pork sinigang imbutido ang buttered vegetable. I enjoy eating that much when one of these foods is in the table. But unfortunately I can't able to cook my favorite dishes by myself except for pork sinigang, I have a limited skills in cooking.. I love to eat when my mother cook any of these dishes.
