Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because i wanted to have an outlet for my thoughts. I never really imagined that people would be interested in reading them and I am glad that they did because I have made friends through blogging. I usually write about what happens to me and I find inspiration in people who have made an impact on my life. How about you, why did you start blogging and what are your usual topics?

I am always surprised when anyone praises what I've written on my blog, because I usually feel I am writing it for myself.
My first blog was always intended as a personal record of how I make money for writing and other activities on the internet. I was not sure if it would interest others, but I have some feedback saying from people saying they are learning from what they read about my experiences. I think that is a good reason to continue with the blog.
My second blog is about my positive way of thinking about life. I hope it may inspire some people who read it. It is getting traffic and I am making money from it, so I must be doing something right!

i felt the same when i started blogging. i never really intended to write to generate readers or added income. it was just for me, but now that i have "readers" and they give positive comments on what i wrote, i also feel inspired to write more no matter how trivial it may be. i'm also amazed whenever someone praises what i wrote as i have never thought my writing as "writing". hehe. thanks for the response.
