It's thanksgiving here in Canada so I'd like to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving. I'd also like to ask...do you celebrate thanksgiving in your country? If so..when? And what are your traditions in your family. Our family always has a walk at the lake and ends with a hotdog roast in the morning on thanksgiving then in the afternoon/evening we have our turkey dinner with all sorts fo yummy stuff.

Happy Thanksgiving to you! We don't celebrate Thanksgiving for about 6 more weeks her in the state. We usually cook a big turkey dinner with all the fixings, top it off with some pie, then plan our route for black Friday shopping. It is the official start of our holiday season- at least for my family. I love Thanksgiving, it is a holiday that is not very commercialized- compared to others like Christmas, and is purely about being with the people you love and celebrating all the good in your life.

If you check online some sites say its a religious day for giving thanks to god for a bountiful harvest. Others say its harvest festival. Mainly with my family we get together have a turkey dinner and spend time together.

Hey saundyl! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I hope you enjoy your day and your dinner! We celebrate our Thanksgiving in November so we have a way to go! It is about a month before Christmas and starts the holiday season off. We also have turkey for dinner, at least most people do, I do! I love to make a big feast for Thanksgiving! Turkey with lots of goodies with it! I can't wait. This year will be the first year that my boyfriend and I will spend it together in my apartment. We didn't spend it together last year. I will be cooking and we might have some friends over, I don't know yet. I still have some time to decide on the guest list. I do love to have people over! We want to have a really great holiday season because he didn't celebrate last year and we want to do it up right this year.
