Are you one of those people who hate Mondays? Do you dread the first day of the week?
It's Monday today and I am not really that excited to go to work today. Not that I am having the Monday Blues. It just so happened that we are not required to report for work today (just today) because final exams starts tomorrow and so today is the day when students are given enough time to complete their other requirements. I will be meeting with my other students later today so I do not have to rush going to work as early as now.
I really do not hate Mondays but I must say that I am a little lazier during Mondays. Probably because I work until Saturday, and Sunday is my only rest day. Perhaps not enough so I feel a little lazy during Mondays.

It is still Sunday here, but usually on Mondays, it is my easy day at work. Tomorrow is Columbus Day here, so no work this Monday!! That means that Tuesday will seem like Monday and my week will be all weirded out!
So to answer your question, I don't get the Monday blues. Wed is my hardest day at work so I think I have the Wednesday blues.

Mondays, Fridays, who cares? My husband is retired, and I'm unemployed. Every day of the week is the same for us. We both have our books that we are marketing, and we do some work on line, but we do not have a schedule that means we have to be at a certain place on a certain day. We do as we please.

The benefits of being retired... It's great that you have other things that keep you busy in your own time...

The day of the week doesn't really matter to me really, since I do the same thing almost each day, work and school, during the week, which is Monday-Friday, I work less hours (16 hours), but I go to school as well (30 hours), then on the weekend I go to work more hours in the two days, 18 to be exact. I suppose weekends I do less with my schedule, though I am just as tired as if it was a day in the work week. Mondays really don't feel too different than any other day, so it's all the same to me haha. I am just counting down the days until I am in Sweden and Spain to see my boyfriend (55!), I will have a whole month off to just relax and get away from everything, I really need it!

Hi Dolce_vita78, you are right, i do feel the same thing, when need to work on Saturday and only have 1 day rest on Sunday, i really feel not enough. One of my friend have share with me how not to get blue on Monday. The method is to review oustanding tasks on Sunday night, at the same time plan for the next day and week. I try out and the method really helps. Because on Monday morning, i already know what to do and not with blank head.

I never used to really be bothered about which day of the week it is, but now that I am at college, I look forward SO MUCH to the weekends! Then when it's over I definitely have a harder time on Monday, haha. I enjoy all my classes, but yes on Mondays it is harder to make yourself do things.

I do not hate Monday, instead I wait for Monday. Monday is always the new beginning of a week. It brings itself something new. Saturday and Sunday remain off days for me, therefore, when I get up Monday morning, I wake up with the expectations of experiencing something new in the coming week. If Monday does not come up, how will the entire week will start..........LOL! It is, therefore, Monday is the most important day of a week, to my mind.

Sometimes I like Mondays and sometimes I do not. Most of the times I hate Monday as it is usually so rushed and always seems to be so busy compared to other days of the week. I think it is because I have shopping and stuff to sort out which takes up a good chunk of the day.

I don't really get Monday blues but this Monday, like a lot of others, after a weekend at home, you go to work and meet the same kind of rubbish you've gotten all of the last week.
I really don't understand the lack of variety in crap-hole people.
Most of the usefull and respectfull people I know are in possession of some degree of variety.
But the headless crap artists I work with, who must have the intellectual ability of pre-historic carnivorous morons, just never change.
And today I'm really tired of them. So when the electicity went, and the internet went down before that, in my office, I said an obscenity to myself, and came to this computer cafe, which is so much better.
Know what I mean ?

I am not fond of Mondays! It means that my weekend relaxtion time has end and back to the busy days of work. Mondays are usually the hardest day for me because it's just so hard to let go of those lazy carefree days! lol

Hi there!
When I was young I hate Mondays. I was always absent in school every Monday. The Monday sickness what people call it. But as I grew older I just forgot about my it. The Monday sickness just disappeared. In fact I always look forward on Mondays cause I feel excited that its going to be Friday soon hehe.
Ciao!

I do dislike Mondays! Ever since school I have not liked Mondays. Even Sundays were a problem. Hard to get back into the swing of things after a fun filled weekend. I think we need to be on a four days on and four days off schedule where we get paid for the full week whether we work or not. And, we can sleep in on a Monday! Yes, that would be good for me!

well dear i don't hate mconday as we are off from university and can relax but most of the time it happens that we have a rescheduled class and have to go.
today was the same but i enjoyed it and i don't hate monday and if you have work then one will hate sunday as well.we human have this nature, ask anyone we all want to earn and don't want to work, lazy us but i mostly feel holidays as an oppurtunity to make up for what i have lost in the previous days and my whole week is the same and i live it and no issues other then one and that is "less sleep".

Hey, i guess you are a teacher by profession. Is it so?
well, everyone of us who work, will tend to hate Monday. Obviously who would like to be back at work after 2 days of holidays. Even I have been in job for more than a year now, and having Saturdays and Sundays off, i feel too lazy to be at work on Monday morning.
The only thing, i like about a Monday morning, is that i get to see my collegues and there is some excitement as to what new information and new events are gonna happen this week. As for instance, there is always a planned event for every week in my organization in some department or the other. So thats the only thing which makes me look forward to come to office on Monday, to be a part of the communication.
Rest, there is nothing good to be talked about a Monday. After a long holiday and having hours of continuous sleep, who would like to get up early on Monday morning to go to office.!!
Its not that i hate to work, but the laziness and sleepiness tends to be there which is carried forward since Friday evening.. LOL

Same here!
I don't even have sunday. However, on sunday, I have a short break! At least, it is a litte better than other week days. Monday is a new start, I have to wait 6 days for another short break! I am suffering...

Mondays is the start of a work week *groan*
There was a time I thought I lost the blues on mondays but the dread came back now that I am not having a great realationship with my supervisor. But I guess I am not being fair to mondays, since I am beginning to dread every morning.
But mondays bear the blunt of it all simply because after 2 days of rest, facing a work week is as daunting as an old car left out in the snow overnight.
