today is the card giving day of both my sons. i am pleased with their grades. im not expecting them to have solid A's of course. but what they got was way ahead of what i expected them to achieve. it is really something that i can be proud of them. hope this will continue till the last grading period.do you have the same feelings whenever you see you children's report card?

I am lucky both of boys are straight A students and always have been- so in general I don't worry on report card day- it is a day to really show the boys how proud we are of them. They work hard and deserve the reward for it- so they pick what I make for dinner that night and desert too. It's a family fun affair and I really think they enjoy it.
Pride doesn't even cover how I feel about their hard work.

it's the first time that i would be getting a report card as this is my daughter's first time to go to school and i must say, i am very happy with what she received. i don't like to compare her to other students for everyone learns at their own pace. like you, i would also wish that she would continue to receive these grades. what is important is that she would progress rather than regress. getting B's is also important as you learn that there are still things that she needs to work on. it is just testament to the saying that not everyone is perfect.
