Hi sis,
Yup. I'm into online selling and buying. Why don't you go the Ebay's Philippine website? You can pay for items through g-cash or smart padala. Depends on the seller's preference. I can help you out if you'd like to. Just PM me. As with any auction site, there are pros and cons but I think if you're just a buyer, you have quite a lot going for your side. You can find a lot of dirt cheap stuff which you can sell where you're working right now.

Paying through g-cash or smart padala? I just had to butt in. I had a terrible experience at ebay when I paid for an item (a cellphone)in particular using that payment method and then the seller(reputable before) decides to scam me. Those payment methods are not even recommended by ebay because its unsafe and there's no way for a buyer to get back the money once the seller encashes the money and decides ran away with it. So I suggest before you decide to use that kind of method for online payments, try asking the seller for some alternatives. Like a bank account or just use Paypal for a secure transaction.
Best of luck. :)

Most people on E-bay prefer G-cash or deposit to a bank account. It's actually pretty secure. Sorry to hear that someone scammed you. I actually had the same experience but it was an outside transaction that's why e-bay could not help me. (my fault as well) That's why I make it a point to check their feedback and the percentage. Plus, at least we're more protected now when it comes to not being paid. You can make a dispute report on Ebay.

I think you shouldn't be hesitate to selling or buying online on ebay.com . It's a great wordwide marketplace that brings safe, secure, and easy transaction for selling and buying online. But the most important is, just be careful and read the description carefully before you want to buy anything, because there must be a cheat within thousand of transaction. ;)

I've been part of Ebay for like what, 4 years? Yea.. I've been a trusted Ebayer and sold and bought tons of items. Great stuff not to mention. I've also bought few stuff on Ebay US, and other things online.. I know how scary and cautious for some who are not used to this, but it's a matter of learning things online. I know how to spot the real deals and the real ones.. Afterall, there's Paypal that can protect my credit card for frauds and stuff..

Hi there!
I haven't bought anything online. I like to see the item in actual before I buy it. I like to check the details of the item so I know it's still in good shape an in online buying I can't do that. The shipping also is expensive.
But making extra money by selling online could a good opportunity. I know some Filipinos who from doing it. I would like to try it too someday. I like to sell my cross stitch projects, unframed. I know foreigners love crafts so I might make money from it but the payment scheme is also my problem. I think paypal has some features for merchants regarding the paying and having a receipt.
Ciao!

I have been buying online for a number of years now and yes, I have encountered some problems on a few occasions. These were mainly with goods not received. Fortunately, I had paid via PayPal and I got my money refunded. I wouldn't pay for anything from overseas sellers unless they accepted PayPal.

Yes I do. I do both buying and selling online since 2006. Sites like ebay.ph and auction.ph is where I post and at the same time, search for interesting items for me to buy. I do have a bad experience at ebay though when the seller scammed me and ran away with my money which supposedly is my payment for a cell phone. I wasn't being cautious then.
My advice, if ever you decide to buy items online. Consider the following:
- seller's reputation
- price (realistic)
- mode of payment (safest way to pay in ebay is by using Paypal. other than that, paying through money transfers like g-cash, smart padala, western union should be taken with a lot of precaution because once it is sent and encashed by the seller, you can never get it back if the seller decides to ran away with it.) For auction.ph, I think they have the best escrow system in e-commerce in the country (Philippines). try it out for yourself.
Best of luck. :)
