Hello. I live in India. In our country there are many National Heros. My personal favourite is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Popularly known as Gandhiji, Baapu. He is known as the Father of the Nation. He got our country Independence. I think he is a great person. None can beat him. This is just my view.

I would say, the modern national heroes of my country, the Philippines, are the OFWs(Overseas Filipino Workers), sending their hard-earned money back home helping their families back home and the Philippine economy in more ways than one. There are more than 8M (about 10%of the population) of these heroes out there in all parts of the world who've sent about US$11B in remittances to the Philippines last year.
In the history books, our national hero is Jose P. Rizal, poet, writer, activist, martyr. Got executed by the Spaniards for his underground activities and his writings, probably inciting rebellion.
