I think MS may have lost out a bit there. I've been using Firefox for the past two years and have been waiting for the much anticipated IE7. But it's been so long that I don't even miss IE. Also in that time, most websites have adapted already to web standards; there's really no need to switch back anymore. I did install the new IE7 just to see what they have added. Seems like they tried to incorporate some nice features, like tabbed browsing and better support for CSS. But all in all, more nimble organizations like Firefox and Opera have already put these feature in their browsers for years now. I, for one, will not be going back to IE.

I don't think it will recapture but it will slow the steady leak of users that they had been experiencing.

Do you know if they are actually going to be adding something new?

I have both firefox and internet explorer and I use them both alot. I liked how firefox did the tabbing and some of the other things and I am glad that explorer is updating itself. It is truly been needed for a long time.
