Was John Lennon right?

Hi all,
Song "IMAGIN" pups in my mind evry time I see bad things happening in this world and I suddenly feel our collective pain and John Lennon singing in the background "Imagin all the people, sharing all the world...".
How do you think, are we moving to fulfill his dream or are we slowly moving away from it? I guess evrybody have the same dream or purpuse to wake up one day and know that all is one and all is supporting you and that no matar what happends all is going to be fine!
I'm thinking to get a tattu with Jon Lennons words: "Let it be, let it be!"
