Christmas is fast approaching. A lot of people here in the Philippines believes that if you have completed "Simbang Gabi" your wish will come true. What do you think? For me, you have to work hard to achieve what you want. There's nothing wrong with wishing just as long as you are realistic and along with that your perseverance. Do you believe that if you completed "Simbang Gabi" your wish will come true?

Nope. I don't believe that. The reason for going to Simbang Gabi is to have a deeper understanding of Christmas. I think it's wrong to go to Simbang Gabi just to have your wish come true. That's not the real reason why you should go.

Hey there! Yeah, you are right. More than asking for something we should remember Christ, and the sacrifice He has done to save us all. I believe you deserve my blessings dude. I award you the best response,. keep it up. Thanks for sharing your wonderful thought. Happy posting! Merry Christmas!!

The last time I completed my simbang gabi was in 2003. I wished for something there and indeed came true but at the expense of an incident. Then, i realized, simbang gabi really is not about making ones wish come true but truly knowing and understanding why Christ's birth should be celebrated.

It depends on your faith. if you believe in it (law of attraction) it will eventually happens. but not applicable to all. it's just good that people believe on it, which makes them fulfill the promise of hearing mass for 9 consecutive days/nights. A tradition that is worth accomplishing.

i believe it's true that when you completed the "misa de gallo," you get to have your wish come true. i've experienced it a lot of times. i think you just have to match it with your own effort so there would be no doubt that it would come true. do your best and God will do the rest as they say.

Never in my entire life did I completed the Simbang Gabi.haha! Honestly, I do attend Simbang Gabi only twice each year, one Simbang Gabi and then the Christmas day..=p It's because it is scheduled either early in the morning or late at night. I am not allowed to go out after 6pm and I couldn't manage to wake up early like 4am in the morning. Filipinos do believe in that, but I think that if you wish something and worked hard for it, then your wish will come true. It's not about the number of days you go to church. It's about your faith in Him.

Well, maybe according to my friends who had finished their simbang gabi.. As for me even though I want to try still i just can't because I'm so lazy waking very early in the morning and attend mass.. Actually, I will just sleep in the church.. So, I'd rather not attending simbang gabi than being not respect inside the church.. Well, actually for whole simbang gabi I will be able to attend mass only during my birthday (December 19) since my mother will really wake me up.. So, I don't have choice..

I don't know because in my entire life I never completed the "Simbang Gabi" because they say that you must complete 9 days. Certain circumstances do come up so I never complete it. Anyways, I think it depends to God if He will grant our wishes or not. What is important here is our belief and faith in Him.

the only way your "wish" is going to come true is if YOU make it come true. no amount of simbang gabi is going to make it come true for you. going to mass for this reason is selfish and foolish. when we attend mass it should be because we want to remember Jesus' time here on earth and to celebrate that life. not because we want OUR wishes to come true.
