I'm a guy, but i think of the anne books as a positive force in shaping my life. for one thing, it is through anne of the island that i got my first perception of how to live a life that is in accord with a higher, spiritual call, when anne shirley tells the dying ruby gillis about what heaven will be like. also, i feel a new inspiration to write because of anne's ideals when writing. and probably most importantly, i felt at one with anne's thoughts, that college is a venue for learning the best way to live life for others and for myself.
what about you? do you have book characters that affect you so very deeply so as to change your lives?

i like u already. anne is simply lovely!!!!!!!! i have the entire series and i'm having a ball. to read or anne's growth from an orphan who's always getting into scrapes, to a nurturing mother and wife is simply breathtaking!!!! anne has taught me to be proud of myself and my looks (remember when she mistakenly dyed her hair green?!!) she has also taught me how to be tolerant and patient with people despite their personalities.
