For sanity's sake (so to speak), yes, I spend a moment of solitude in a day. Whether just to stare at a blank wall, a cup of coffee, or staring emptilly at my laptop, I believe it's another way of groping insights, inspiration, and rehashing things over for another encounter. Thirty minutes will do for me. Do you like spending a moment of solitude in a day? How long or how short? Have you revived from it? Thanks again for sharing your experiences!

That sounds like a terrific idea, you definitely have a good game plan! I too indulge in solitude, infact I have quite a lot of it in my life! I'm not working at present but I am studying and so I guess I tend to have a lot of time on my hands. Solitude is the same as meditation I guess and so I guess I meditate on a regular basis. I sit in my chair next to the window, the sun is often shining through and I can feel the sun's warmth on my back. I close my eyes and think about nothing generally, I try to empty my mind. I even try to create fantasy worlds in my mind, somewhere I can escape to for the duration of my meditation. I think they say that if you regularly meditate then there's a good chance that you will become insightful! Do you have any dreams? Meditate on them. Do you have any goals? Reflect on them! I think that by regularly meditating you do gain answers for your life. Despite the time that I have on my hands I don't meditate for as long as yourself. I generally stick to about ten or fifteen minutes of just closing my eyes and sitting there. Meditation is definitely the way to go anyhow. Goodluck with your experiences. Andrew

I need to 2 days, 1 day is not enough for me to spent solitude moments, maybe i guess i have a lot of things to know about my self, and i need some meditation, and i spend that in a place like a relaxing place, like seashores, or near a river, or anyplace that is quite.

for sanity's sake, i do spend a moment of solitude, to be free from stress and all that things that makes my head ache. i usually go to my favorite mall to unwind, to release the tension, and there in the food court, i search for an empty seat, sit and think, observe people passing by and then after that, i go to my favorite food chain, eating while thinking or go to the mall's garden sit and enjoy the green and the fountain. its good to go home refreshed again. it does revive me.
