I'm currently experiencing a tug-of-war inside my head... there are a lot of times when i see that most of the students are using their cellphones during classes... i think it slowly becomes a problem. instead of having a cellphone for parents to have contact, they are using it to contact their schoolmates just beyond their classroom's wall... instead of having it as an instrument to check how well they are doing in their studies, some of them are using it under their desks, and sometimes, to lie to their parents when they are actually cutting classes! what a shame! i thought cellular phones are a big help... but today, i see it's turning students like me to abuse technology...

Yes. Cellular phones now a days has a big influence to students, thats why schools prohibited students to bring/ using cellular phones inside the classes mostly during examination.

They are not only a distraction for students, they are a distraction for a lot of my co-workers (teens) as well. It is hard for them to do their jobs with a cell phone in one hand trying to text half the time. I wish the management would tell them that they couldn't bring the phones in the building...

I don't think that cell phones should be allowed during normal school hours. They disrupt lessons instead of helping the students to be focused during the explanation.

You got it Xin!
Students try to hide, but what they don't know is that teachers knew all the while what they're doing. Some even used cellphones as a way of cheating. That was why it was not allowed during examinations. Cellphones are distractions, too. Sometimes, when the teacher is having a lecture, there are cellphones ringing aloud. I am for a [i]no cellphone in class rule. Students are becoming insensitive.
I hope students learn when and how to use cellphones in the right place and at the right time. And I hope parents help teachers in reminding kids, too.

I think for some kids cell phones are a disturbance. Ive gone back to college and my little sister started the same time as me but she is a freshman. My mom will call me and have me text my sister if she needs to get a hold of my sister while shes at school. We just need to teach our mom how to text.

Mobile phone is a boon to the people. There is nothing wrong on students having mobile. It is wrong only those students who use mobile in calss and use almost all the time in a day. Other than nothing to worry. I am also a student. I am using mobile but not in the class room. For a day i will speak in mobile for less than 1 hour. Some time not even that. For me mobile is a boon. I am using it in a correct.
In simple those who use in correct way it is good. For others its bad
