First congratulations on the birth of your little one. How old is he now? Give yourself a break here, you had a baby. It takes time to lose that baby fat around the belly. I know as I have two kids, although they are now adults. But I remember I used to do sit ups but then I guess that didn't work as I still have a big belly. In my case it is an age thing also and sit ups don;t do it for me anymore. But dieting I know about. It isn;t actually good to diet so I have found a way to cut back on the fatty foods instead and just change my style of eating. I stay away from carbs mostly. I eat some, but not much, as carbs are all sugar and hard to burn off. I watch that I only eat a little bit now, but when I was first dieting I wasn;t eating any at all and in the first month I lost 20 pounds. I have managed to lose another 10 pounds but now my body seems to have plateaued and I don;t lose anymore for the last few months. I am happy with the 30 pound lose but I need to loose another 10 pounds and I seem to have stopped losing for the last couple weeks so I am not doing something right anymore, but what I don;t know. Good luck to you and I hope some people can give you better hints here than I have. I will be watching to see what others have to say, maybe something that will help me too.

When it comes down to sports, do stomach exercises that will tighten your tummy and strengthen your abs, slowly making the fat disappear. Also, try doing some lightweight body building exercises like lifting some low-level weights regularly, jogging for long runs, even a martial arts if you have the time for that.. The stronger and bigger your muscle mass is, the more quickly your body will burn fat naturally. If you've got good muscles then your body will do the rest by itself! Quite nefty, hunh? And about food, dunno but to tell you to eat ur veggies and fruits ^w^ But you should consult a pro first tho, to see what sports would be best for you and to what degree and how often you'd do them depending on your condition. Good luck!

You didn't say how old your baby is. Start out light and work your way up. Start walking every day and gradually pick up the distance every day by adding a few more steps. Sit-ups work well and I use an excercise ball. This prevents a lot of strain on your back and there are a lot of excercises you can do on the ball. When you get an excercise ball there will b a DVD that comes with it to demonstrate the proper way to excercise on it. Good Luck and congrats on the baby!

Hi, losing belly fat is really the hardest even for those who don't have a baby like me. I have extra fat in my belly too. I have done sit-ups before but back hurts. HAve you tried belly dancing? I tried to do belly dancing in front of the mirror like 150 counts but after two mornings I gave up. My muscles hurt LOL. My friend have tried and tested belly dancing and she lost a few pounds around her belly.

Although i am quite thin... i still have a problem with my belly... since it is still bigger than it used to be before i gave birth... i don't diet... and i don't really do exercise... but to prevent my belly from getting bigger... i usually just walk to and from work... that is the only exercise i have... and i think it really works...

I think doing sit-up can make you lose your fat belly. It's a very effective exercise. As to the diet, it's always better to eat more vegetables and fruits rather than meats. I love China

They said that drinking water like 3 liters of water can help in losing weight. And since your problem is in your belly then I suggest you do the crunches or bending. :)
