How many college students in the states are still waiting for Financial Aid

I was wondering how many are still waiting for their student aid? I applied for mine back in May and here it is October and I am still waiting for my school to get to my file. I dont remember it taking this long in the past. What i am so mad about is i hear some students saying that they have already gotten their second payment. Im still waiting for my first! Thanks for letting me vent :)

Yikes! That is terrible! I submitted my son's Michael and David's info online and the school got to it right away. They were really quick about getting the info up to date and contacting us about what they needed etc. However, now they have paid out the balance of the grants and only one son got his back. Michael is still waiting on his. First the FA office told him that they had like 150 students that had not received their checks yet and they should be out within a week, last week one of his teachers had made a mistake with his grade and missed days, so he is suppose to receive it this week. We shall see..... I am sorry you are having such a hard time. Which college is it if you don't mind my asking. I hope it gets straightened out soon. Have you put in your info for the spring semester yet? I have got to get started on that myself for the kids!

I submitted my info for the 2008/2009 online. I will do the 2009/2010 school year new years day. I go to Orange Coast College in California. Im not the only one going thru this im finding out. Its stressful! At least i have the Board of Govenors Waiver so i dont owe the school anything :) Good luck to you & your boys. Where are you that you have to submit the spring & fall seperate?
