Pending transaction?

I'm getting a little nervous, because there is something going on with my account. I changed my email, and I accomplished that without a problem. But I wanted to also change my credit card, which is no longer active. I added my new card without a problem, but when I tried to remove the old one it said I can't do that while a transaction is pending. Weird, since I haven't bought anything lately, and I'm not expecting any payments. Then I went and checked my bank account, and there is a charge pending for $1 to paypal. Strange, since, again, I haven't bought anything lately using paypal. I tried to call my bank but they are closed for Columbus day. I searched my paypal account but can't find any way to view pending transactions. Since I can't see who the payment is going to, or any details of the transaction, I have no idea what it is. Is there a charge on paypal for changing your email address? Or should I be concerned that someone has access to my account? What should I do?

I doubt PayPal charges to change your email address although I have never had to do it. I have added more than one email address before and they don't charge for that. You should be able to look at the detail of the transaction even though it is still pending to try to find out what it is. Is PayPal closed for the day? You could try calling their customer service.

I changed my paypal mail ID once and there is no charge for doing that. You can see your transactions history in the site itself. I too say you should call their customer service.

Thanks, that took care of it. Turns out it was a goof from a merchant I purchased from a while ago.

Glad you got it taken care of. I prepaid for gas at a gas station about a month ago and they managed to charge it to my PayPal debit card twice. I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get that money back. That is the last time I prepay for gas there. I have never had a problem anywhere else. Thanks for BR!
