When the sun is shining, I try to open the blinds to let the sun in. This usually shuts the furnace off and helps us save fuel. We have a wood stove. If we are going to be home all day, we use it and it cuts down on the cost of fuel. I also try to take a bus when I can. It goes past the entrance to my road anyway. So it is easy to take. But I can't for work. The bus runs Mon-Fri, but I work Sat and Sun. I try to keep my tires inflated and car tuned up, also helps. Thanks and take care.

Thank you again for best response.
I forgot about solar stoves. There are many places online that talk about how to make one from scrap and there are many premade ones. That way you can cook outdoors without making the house hotter (which makes the air conditioning work more) plus you save on whatever you use to make your stove go.

I know that I do not go all over the place like I did before. Also, I try to save money by going in the morning, keep the tires well aired, oil changes and try to shop in the same direction and not double loop my routes. I know that on Tuesdays over here they make the gas cheaper and then on Sat they get more expensive so I go when it is cheaper.
