Or are we just a bunch of mammals wandering around aimlessly, to smart for our own good?

Wondering what this discussion is about, but I just sensed you don't know if there is meaning either. Don't despair!
Life is beautiful.
I just want to quote this message from Henri Poincare
"The scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it and he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, and if nature were not worth knowing, life would not be worth living"

I agree with the last statement nature is glorious it was created specifically for us by a loving God who was thoughtful enough to provide us with it. God made the world and universe with his own hand and everything teaches us something of His character.

Life is the light of God and has a divine relation with the Almighty God. In the relative sense, life is just like a bubble in the vast ocean of consciousness, but in reality it is an illusion. The true meaning of life is rooted in the absolute level of divine consciousness.Unless your understanding go beyond the transient boundary of body-mind structure, you will not be able to find the real meaning of life. You may visit some relevant blog site to know more about it. In case you like to know the site, you may send me a PM. Thanks.
