At school I was always involved in various sort of clubs and activities but my favourite was always the drama club. I always seemed to cast as the fool of the play, the one to play the village idiot, I guess those parts always seemed to come easy to me some how! When I left school I was involved with an amateur dramatics group but only lasted two productions with them as my life took a path far away from the theatre mainly due to travel. Anyway, these days I am more than happy to help out with things backstage but no longer have desire to be on centre stage. At present my life is too busy for me take up any posiion with a prouction company, be it backstage, but I hope to one day become involved once again.
Have you ever been involved with amateur dramatics? Are you much happier watching the stage than to be on it? Are you thinking of becoming an amatuer performer?

At school we do present a christmas pantomine. It has become an annual event organised by our school teachers. Students , parents and their relatives are invited to attend and we always have full complement during our three performances held. My part always involves a minor part and I always worry that I might forget my line. © ronaldinu 2008
