I prefer to call my friends rather than sending mails to them. I feel phone calls to be more personalised. I would send mail only when I do not get enough time to chat with my friends..How about you? Which one do you prefer while communicating with your friends - email or phone?

I prefer talking to a good friend by phone. I have a few friends who do not live near me. Usually I text them, or keep in touch with them through myspace. We don't talk too often. I know that they genuinely care and think of me, as they tell me this, and I feel the same way about them. I need to try to make sure I keep in contact with them, and make as point to actually call them more.

I also prefer calling because I can hear their voice. How they really feel. I feel much closer and have always felt e-mail to be a very formal wasy of communication. Anddddddd I don't want to be formal to my friends Cheers

You are right..I think emailing is a best way only when the friends are far away either in different countries or in different zones..

Hi! I prefer phone. Particularly cellphone. I only use email if their response is not urgently needed and if I'm away or out of town. I use sms text message because it is cheaper than making a call and you can have their response in a few mins or sec. Happy posting!!

I prefer email. With three kids it is difficult to talk on the phone uninterrupted and I feel that it is rude to keep asking someone to "hold on for a min". If I am emailing someone I can always leave it if need be and get back to it later without the other person being put on hold.

you are right..With kids at home, we can never talk on the phone without interruption. I never make calls when my kid is around me..I make it out when he is sleeping is off to his playgroup.

i think i wud be prefering both ...phone and email...as currently i m out of india away from my friends ...so emails are much better ofr communication...phone calls are equally better or even more btter if u r nearer to them.... ofcourse phon calls are more personalized but if not possible i mean if conditions not favour emails are much better .... u cant compare the two...the two have individual importance in life ...in day to day communication.... regards yash

Lately life has been so busy I prefer to email with my friends, then we'll meet up for coffee or something once a week or so. It helps avoid playing telephone tag and awkward/rushed phone calls.

I have an aversion to the telephone and thankfully my friends are very understanding and know not to call me on the phone, so they usually either email me, text me or talk to me in person, it is very rare that I talk on the phone, I find it intrusive as well and I get flustered and impatient on the phone, I am far more comfortable with emails, texts and talking to people online or face to face, I guess it's what we are most comfortable with that matters most.

Usually if it's just near me well I rather see them once in a while. Asking them if how are they. Well I really don't chat cause of my time, usually my schedule is toxic and my work has alot of things to do. Now if my friend is very far I'm just gonna send them an email and it will be along one hahaha! Phone very seldom do I stay in the phone talking. Have a nice day!

Calling is really convenient .Whenever and wherever you want to talk to your friends ,just take out your cellphone ,and make calls. However ,sometimes I find that there 's little to talk about ,because both my friends and I find we have talkd "too much".The result is ,we turn to send short massages via cellphone.

Hi friend, with jobs in different cities and our busy schedules,it is hard for me and my friends to meet up,so we prefer mostly to talk on the phone. We do email but best option is to talk on the phone atleast you can hear your friends voice if not see him/her face to face.Otherwise I prefer to sit and talk face to face.

I often communicate with them using my cellphone. Most of them has a personal cellphone of their own and it is very easy to reach them through cellphone. They bring their cellphone anywhere they go. Unlike through email they can only read my message only when they log in and open their email. Have a nice day..

I don't know why because seems like I have phobia in calling people through phone. Therefore SMS gives me much comfortable conversation. For something urgent, of course we need to you phone but if is like casual talk, normally SMS is good enough. If is official work, email is the best way to communicate. I can express everything through email intead of through phone. Easily get nervous when speak to boss, I think.

I do both networks to communicate with my friends and family. I will contact my friends and family every day via phone calls and messages. I also have many online friends from all over the world where I always contact them via emails.
