Some weeks are packed full of Mondays.

Monday is when things are supposed to be roughest on a job, and in life.I got a head start on Monday this week . Yesterday all my MyLot notifications went to spam. I put a new battery in my laptop, and my wireless could not recognize it. I work two jobs. I asked to be relieved at 2:00 pm today, so I could rest a bit before working, and they scheduled me to get off at 3:00, instead. Problem is, my relief today did not show up at three. When I called it turned out she went to the wrong client. So, I am relieved at 3:30, need to phone in my time and be at work at the next job, at 4:00 p.m. Made it. Worked my Monday evening duties, and clocked out. I found that my car had been parked four hours with the lights on. Luckily, it started, as I found after getting my car keys out, only they belong to the agency. I am going to have to go back in to return those keys. The residents in the house had a surprise for me: A totally blocked toilet. I worked on it, and this time, I couldn't fix it or wash it on down. So with that I will tell you, my Monday ended in the toilet. How about your Monday, is it really great, or really bad, or completely in the toilet?

well, i had an out of town friend for lunch. she comes to the dr. here so usually cmes by when she does. sometimes we go out to eat but we both smoke & u can't smoke here in any of the restaurants so i'd rather eat at home. i did a little housework, wshed a couple ofloads & played on mylot a bunch as usual i go for days & don't get out of the house. i'd been having to go to the nursing home alot which is a very depressing place to me. my dad passed away sept. 17th there & 20 days my aunt [his sister] passed away. she was buried last sat. i hopei don't see the inside of a nurding home for awhile. it is a sad place. so goes my days. i hope they srtay calmed down for awhile. this hasn't been a god year. my mother passed away in jan.

Hugs to you, hon. I had a spell like that for quite awhile. Not all nursing home related, but losing lots of loved ones. Enjoy a quiet day for me, as this is a work double day again. All the glitches better be gone though.

Since I only work Saturday and Sunday now, my Monday was restfull. I just knitted. But I did have an obnoxious customer at PetSmart who let his dog urinate everywhere and refused to clean up after him. Then on top of that, his dog spilled water all over near my demonstration table. So thanks to this fool, everyone was cleaning urine or water instead of doing the jobs they're supposed to be doing. So my job started like yours ended. IF it will make you feel any better, I had a day like yours before, no one releaved me, so I had to work a double. Luckily it was on a day when I didn't have another job. Take care and I hope the rest of your week is better.

I am not going to be keeping the second, or third part time job. I will concentrate rather on mystery shopping or something else. I am too old to work such long hours. Your friendly product event staff gets to see it all.

So what is this job you cannot get back into? I am glad you said no to the driving bit that day, as you would have been the one considered to be liable if you had an accident.

I often wonder how I ever worked crazy hours when I was younger. I worked 24 hours straight one day. Then they wanted me to drive clients/consumers into work. Told them I wasn't even driving me home, leaving my car and walking. Too exhausted to drive. I would have worked 32 hours straight. There was a serious worker shortage back then. They paid almost nothing. Now they pay well and I can't even get back in! Ironic. I can see why you will be doing one job and leaving the others. Yes, we see it all. Take care.

Wow, that was quite a day! I have had way too many days that have caused my head to throb. Don't you wish we could all have a magic wand to wave away all the crap?!!

MyLot allows me to wear rose colored glasses. My client that is having toilet issues has been finally approved to receive a larger toilet. She still needs to be better about her diet, but some of it is the meds, topped off with these little cheap rinky dink toilets. Four of the apartments are getting new toilets. I am sure it is cheaper than replacing ruined carpets and having in plumbers.

Well seems you had the proverbial "typical" Monday huh? Mine was just a cold gloomy day. I woke at 5 a.m. to a temperature of 71 and humid. Then by noon it was only 47 degrees and a light rain falling. Lots of wind to blow leaves all over my freshly raked lawn as well. But all in all no problems for me this Monday. Hope the rest of the week goes better for you. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We have passed our average first frost date. It has not happened yet. Temps vary with location. Is 80 high, or low for you?

Wow! You all have it cold. I'm still griping about the 80 degree weather. No wonder so many people are giving me a funny look.

I know. This kind of day or week comes along every so often. I try to avoid it, but, some things you just cannot plan for. Some of the problems were my fault, but not all of them. Gotta go see what I actually typed now. I fell asleep twice while putting up the discussion.

I had a Doctor's appt and a sick kid call me to come and get him from school. That was the tame part. I've got this company that keeps billing me $99.41 over and over. I can't even pay one of my bills because of this charge. They have been refunding the charges, but in the meantime, my $99.41 is tied up and I can't use it! Crazy. So I'm waiting on yet another refund now. That was my Monday. Oh, and don't forget the phone call to the ex and the call to the jerk whose daughter hit my daughter's car and now won't give up his insurance info. Yeah, just another Monday.

You may have topped my Monday. My suggestion about the $99.41 is one your bank should offer you. When this happened to us, our bank gave us a form to state that we were victims of fraud and once those papers were filed, miracle of miracles, the charge quit occuring. Like you, the charge would go out, then they would get it refunded, and meantime, we would be stuck.

Good idea. I guess I just kept letting it go when I'd get the refund. I think this time I'll fill out the form.

Well, for me, my Monday is actually Tuesday as I am off on Mondays. My Monday at work was actually not that bad for a change. I work as a Calltaker aka Dispatcher for Yellow Cab, and even though we were short handed by one person, and were training 3 new people for the Graveyard shift, it was an OK day. So I have no complaints so far this week. Hope yours was better.

Tuesday was better. Again my relief was late, different relief, not quite as late. I am only doing that job out of loyalty to a family from church, and they are going to switch to a live in rather than an agency, and I will not continue with this agency as it cannot work with my schedule. I can make money online that will eventually add up.

Mondays aren't usually my problem. I usually find then ok and a nice start of the week. I think my problem day is wednesday. It's the middle of the week. Too far from both the weekend before and the next one, and the one where I start feeling like I'm tired :) But I have had days like the one you mention, and I prefer that they are not the rule LOL IN any case it was a holiday here this monday, so my monday was actually a really nice one :):):) Hope you had a chance to recuperate form such a monday;)

I am doing fine now. I have sometimes found Wednesdays hard, during the day, then I go to choir practice, get lots of positive input, and oxygen, and feel on top of the world the next day. Mondays usually are not a problem, either. Just this one. Oh, well.

You poor dear, I am exhausted after reading that. I bet you slept well. I hope so anyway. Mondays are hectic for us because my son is scheduled completely for the whole day. It is my own fault, but when I was planning our schedule it just seemed to make sense to have it all happen on Mondays. He has morning speech therapy, we have 45 minutes to eat lunch before afternoon preschool, then 30 minutes to regroup before a Kindermusik class. Hubby helps by always bringing home take out dinner on these days and we try to make dinner as fun as possible considering we are all usually grumpy. We have started a ritual of all laying down together in my sons room at bedtime(only on Mondays) and chat about all the activities of the day. My son falls asleep happy surrounded by mommy and daddy and my husband and I are happy knowing it is all downhill from here.

I think you were really smart to do it that way, and just decide to eat takeout on that day. I try to make a meal for my son and family on Monday because they have that kind of a hectic evening schedule.

Doing various jobs, and various shifts, Mondays do not often find me. Weekends are not usually that restful, either. Right now my main days off are Wednesday and Thursday.

When you get a day like that you just want to crawl under the bed. Or laugh, I always try to laugh because I think these things happen to allow us to determine how we are receiving the world and are living our lives. also to remind us that it's our choice. After all if everything went smoothly all the time we would even know we were alive. So take a deep breath and laugh. Good Luck

Laughing is a good leveler. I do laugh a lot. That is part of why I started this discussion and said that the day ended in the toilet. ANY time I have to go to that house after hours, it is a good bet I am going to have a plunger in my hand. The girl with the problem is OCD, and also, I think, tactily defensive. She has a hard time, and also gets embarrassed about the situation. Can hardly bring herself to say the word "poop".

Yes, I remember one particular week of Mondays when I was 17. It had to do with a mimeograph machine, and a leak of black ink.

You really did not have to pollute yourself, now did you? Sounds like you have a bigger toilet issue with your horses than I have with my clients.

I wish i had such luck and before you think i am being a smart alex I am so happy to see the beginning of any day that i am grateful I do not have many so it is in Gods hand I might say i am deleting most sites i belong to on the PC because so many become addictive and it is very difficult to kick the habit. So except for the computer i am in sympathy with the rest of your bleak day Good Luck Have a great Tuesday Wow this is a nice start to Tuesday and i was just about to submit when I thought i had better copy the response in case and yes indeed it said not logged in That was easily fixed now a nice fat check in the mail would make it a great Tuesday Glad to see you still here

I still love being here, and I am glad to see you as well. It is all in the attitude. I happen to know that there are people who have it a lot worse than I do, and as hubby said about the car, "Well, we know the battery is good."

Well you can blame it on Monday, but maybe the full moon had a hand in messing up your day, too. My day started out rather abysmally when I realized I needed to go buy an extended minutes card for my spare cell phone--because I had around 1000 minutes that were set to expire if I didn't...but at the last minute I could not find the phone. Well, I really didn't like that phone anyway, and that is undoubtedly why I tossed it somewhere out of sight. So after looking high and low, I decided not to worry about it any more and went out and bought a better one and had them transfer the minutes and the number. It is a much nicer phone with a camera and other goodies. Now I am sort of glad I "lost" the other one.

Well, that is certainly making the best of a bad situation. You sound happy about it.I did not know the moon affected toilets. The fact is, in this group residence area they built with cheap stuff and they did not allow for the fact that some of our people are on heavy meds, which messes up the personal plumbing, so to speak. Which in its turn blocks the toilets.
