Why men cannot and women can?

I've seen many women who have kids don't even think of getting married again when the husband dies. Most of them think only about the kids and their future. It's not that they don't have feelings, it's just that the fear that her kids will not be treated properly by the step father. Being an Army officer's wife I have many friends who had lost their hubands due to the war in my country. 99% of them are not married and looking after their kids. 95% of them are very young and in their twenties or thirties. They have sacrificed many things for their kids and most of them still live with the memories of their husbands. But I have hardly met a man who had sacrificed his whole life for the sake of his kids. I had some of my friends who died due to cancer or somesort of illness. But almost every one of them are married by now even though they have kids. I still don't know why men cannot sacrifice just like women do. Do you know the reason?
