SHAME On All You Jealous, Vindictive Left-wing B*tches...

Shame on all you jealous, vindictive, liberal and stupid b1tches who aren't riding on the Sarah Palin bandwagon that's been cruising around on myLot for about six weeks now! Everyone knows you don't like her because no Republican woman has the right to run for V.P. and maybe even be the first female President! No female politician has the right to be anti-choice or a Christian and - here's the kicker - she's HOT, a real knock-out beauty queen to boot! How dare you female myLotters not agree with everyone who thinks she's the greatest thing since ice cream? You've also obviously gotten all your negative information about her from lying liberal blogs who were willing to say or do anything to destroy her or to dig up dirt on her... Are any of the rest of my fellow women of myLot as sick of this crap as I am? I mean, anyone, male or female, has every right to love her to pieces and to defend her with their own life, but so do we have the right to dislike her without being attacked for it or having our motives questioned! The liberal media didn't make me not like Palin; I disagree with her on pretty much every issue, but there are other political figures of both genders that I can say the same about that I actually LIKE! If she shared my views on some of the issues I still wouldn't like her, so shoot me! Or, better yet, have Sarah shoot me from a helicopter and claim she thought I was a baby wolf...lol! I'm not jealous of her because she attractive or because she's been successful. At this particular moment in my life I wouldn't be mad if my financial situation were more like hers than mine, but I can say that about millions of people right now. Sorry about the rant, guys; now feel free to jump right in and rant along or tell me how wrong I am. I will tell you right up front that I'm not likely to change my mind about her and that I intend to treat anyone who responds here with respect and expect the same in return. If you can't be civil and respectful to me or anyone else who weighs in here, please don't help me increase by earning or points by adding your two cents...lol! Annie

I don't like mean-spirited, trash-talking, smug and arrogant people, and she showed that she is exactly all of those with her first speech at the RNC. It certainly wasn't the "liberal" media who told me not to like her. ( never could stand Don Rickles, either. I just don't like people who so thoroughly enjoy slamming home a dig at another person's expense. Jealous? Seriously? Not even envious. I don't want the role that she's chosen and while many people wouldn't see my life as successful at all, I'm content and happy with myself. I don't need to be envious or jealous of another woman's success. My own success is in being a well-rounded, tolerant, educated person who has raised five beautiful, educated, spirited children who step up in defense of others, do not cave in to negativity around them and can think for themselves. Do you know what really tore it for me, though? When she decided that the way to deal with the fact that she was going to get booed at the Flyers game was to use her 8 year old daughter to deflect the boos. How dare anyone boo little Piper, indeed. How dare she complain that people pick on her children and then turn around and use that adorable little girl as a shield?

I'm not a woman, but every time I've seen a thread like you describe, I respond that I think the women who don't support Palin disagree with Palin on issues. I don't believe it's not so simple as her party or her religion.

Thank you! I've yet to EVER see any man accused of being "jealous" because he doesn't support or like a particular candidate. Annie

You're right Annie, men are just accused of being racist when they don't support Obama.

Thank you, MentlWard, for defending us silly women and for realizing we actually care about the issues more than we care that some people think she's "hot". Now, Taskr, you're my friend and I've never seen this accusation from you, unless I've forgotten it but I also don't recall anyone here on myLot telling YOU you're a racist for not supporting Obama. I know there are narrow minded people on both sides and I don't like it either way and I think it's ridiculous for anyone to say what you posted here UNLESS someone has given them a GOOD reason for thinking that, and you certainly have showed no signs ever of racism, sexism or any other "ism". However, Ii know you've seen many posts where others here have told me and my female friends here who aren't Palin supporters that we must be jealous; I know this since you've participated in these discussions. We've also been accused of being jealous of Cindy McCain. I think it's more than fair to note that it's been men not women who have made the comments about the looks of different "players" in this election. Yet it's only the women who are accused of being the shallow ones and while I've no doubt some are, we're certainly no all that way. Annie

I'm with you Annie! I don't like her because I just don't like anything she stands for! So yes I guess you can shoot me too! I don't really like Obama that much either so just shoot me again. But the difference is that I will vote for him because I feel he is the better choice and will maybe make a difference and be able to straighten out some of this major mess that this country is in. I know that it won't be straightened out if it is left in the hands of the Republicans! So don't bother tearing into me for having my opinions and speaking my mind because I don't care what you biased Republicans think. You got us into his mess now I am going to help try to get us the hell out of it by getting your azzs out of the damn White House one way or the other and take Sarah Palin and her big mouth with you!

Eh? I thought you Americans didn't understand irony? Lol, you've shattered all my illusions Annie, you didn't once say, "NOT." I have followed your Palin series with interest, and while I see your bias against her showing through loud and clear, you are never dishonest about it and you always back up your critique with good factual research. Incidentally, even from over here I share your bias against her for many of the same reasons, and I have to wonder what the reaction would have been had I, as male (and assuming I was qualified to comment in the sort of detail you do, being an alien and all) made all the same points you have? I'd probably still have K****R*** up my fundamental orifice, but perhaps not lol. Lash

Personally I like Sarah Palin, she is my kind of gal, However I don't not care for either Obama or McCain as president. If Palin were running for president she would have my vote. As it is I am not voting for either McCain or Obama We need a new party in the white house and in congress. New blood, new people. But well that is probably a pipe dream. Most people are stuck in a one party mode me I am independant vote as I consider each candidate and what they are , stand for. Go Ron Paul!!!!

I'm sick of hearing it, too. All I ever hear about her is that all women should support her. Why should we? I don't support anyone based on their gender.

Initially, I thought that she was awesome...strong woman and it's about time we got a women in the white house. The more she opened her mouth, the more I dissillusioned I became. I don't watch enough news to be swayed by the media. Nope...Sarah swayed my thinking all on her own. I can't think of anything that I like about that lady and nope...not jealous....just don't like her views and ways on everything that I find important.

I don't blame you. I don't like her either but, you don't see me trying to be pushy about my chosen candidates, on other people. I prefer not to talk politics at all. I am not the type that likes to argue. I get all flustered and start stumbling on my words and whomever I am arguing with takes that as a sign of weekness and takes the opportunity to talk over me and beat me down. I just feel like everyone has a right to their opinions and, I can respect yours as long as you respect mine. The sooner people realize that by screaming at others to try to get them to chose your candidate is only going to drive them further away from your candidate. Mission NOT accomplished. Thanks for this discussion. It is nice to see someone who feels the same way I do about being accused of stupid reasons for whomever I don't like. My reasons are all valid. Not jealousy.

No, I don't like her because she's a fruitcake. She is not helping Mc Cain at all, she is bringing him down. But hey, why should I care. I'm voting for Obama. He will get the job done right and his VP pick isn't a fruitcake.

Annie! I think you have multiple personality disorder! Your first paragraph was nasty... I was wondering if I wanted to call you, friend. But I read on... If free is our highest priority (and I think it should be) being civil and agreeing to disagree is essential. The test of Freedom is not the majority of the voters ruling. The test is how an individual's freedom respected and how minority groups's freedoms are respected. Just the same, intolerance is the hardest thing to tolerate... Steve P.S. & I sure hope the haters are in the minority this cycle... As nasty as Palin is campaigning I find is scary that her followers stay faithful.

Thanks, Steve, I'll take your multiple personality disorder as a compliment in that it shows at the very least that I'm not boring and predictable...lol! I guess you knew as you read on that I wasn't being nasty, unless making it clear that those who refuse to give some of us enough credit to know we don't like someone for some reason other than jealousy is nasty. "Just the same, intolerance is the hardest thing to tolerate... Steve P.S. & I sure hope the haters are in the minority this cycle... As nasty as Palin is campaigning I find is scary that her followers stay faithful." I LOVED that! Your P.S. is definitely BR material. Annie

What is BR material? Let's see: Birthright Republican? Nah... Born Right? Basically Rong? No. Wrong does not start with an "R." Bright Roy? I give up! Tell me what is "BR" mean? You better tell me! This could interfere with my sleep.

Great discussion Annie. I wish I had a dime for every time I have heard comments of this nature. Women are jealous of Palin... Palin is hot... Who wouldn't want a VP they'd like to... Well you get the picture. If I had a dime for every time I heard one of these superficial comments about Palin, I would be in her financial situation.

Hey now! I may be a liberal b****,(had to use the asterisks because mylot said I violated their terms so how did you get away with it anniepa? Is it because I'm a newbie or something? lol. Oh, well, getting on with what I was saying. I can be vindictive if given the right motive, but I am definitely denying the jealous part. *grins* I have and always will be a faithful supporter of any strong women who can make a difference in this world. Hilary Clinton, Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Rosa Parks....the list could go on and on. Unfortunately, Sarah Palin is not a name that comes to mind when we talk about strong women. I was not a McCain supporter before he chose Palin, however, I had to scratch my head and say, "what the hell were you thinking McCain?" when I heard who he had chose as his running mate. I guess he was thinking, "There were a lot of women who would have voted for Hilary if she had gotten the Democratic nomination, so maybe I should find a woman and a good looking one at that." You have to remember, we are talking about a man here. Yes, Palin is a woman and yes, she is nice looking (former beauty queen), however, she has no substance. The woman does not know how to answer any questions directed at her unless she has been grilled with answers beforehand. And if she doesn't get the answer right, she blames the interviewer (Katie Courac)for, I guess, asking a question. I watched a little of the interview and had to stop when she kept talking about how John McCain had made so many changes in government while serving as Senator. When Katie asked for examples, Sarah couldn't come up with one. She finally ended up saying, "I'll look them up and get back to you." How lame can you get?To sum it up, Sarah doesn't have the experience it takes to be Vice-President or God forbid, President. Sarah doesn't use her brains, doesn't know about the issues of the country and tries to make others forget that by pointing fingers at Obama and winking a lot. Sorry, Sarah, the winking may work on the men and some women but not on this one. Plus, she's only been a governor for 20 months and already she's involved and been found guilty by her peers in "Troopergate". I don't know if the woman is guilty or not but she wasted no time whipping up a scandal in government. Again, one has to wonder why John McCain would take on a running mate who was already being investigated? Everyone tries to defend her by saying she's being crucified by the media and her peers because she's running for VP but the issued with her brother in law and the investigation of said issues were going on BEFORE she was nominated. Guess John thought he might as well have someone run with him that knows what it's like to use your position in office to get whatever you want, whether it's getting your ex-brother-in-law fired or money. Isn't politics a dirty business?

I have to say I have posted a few times and feel as you do. I truthfully was excited to hear that a woman was up for VP and then when I started to look into and watch her I was like ahhh no way am I voting for them. I was mystified (almost) on why McCain would pick her. In reality I believe it was to try to get the Clinton votes. Some may so no but this is what I believe. I cant help but think to the times when I was looking up info and would come away horrified and have to think NO WAY and then call someone to say would you believe??!! Yeah I guess Im not the normal woman as you arent as I didnt jump on that bandwagon.

We know that Obama was the editor of the Harvard Law Review. Does anyone know of anything he ever WROTE while he was there? "If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you." Don Marquis 1878-1937

Here's how I look at it...I've left comments when people point out stupid things that are seperate from the office and the house when people referred to her family life...and I've left comments when some of the info on here was not fully checked out and people went with one phrase.... But here's how I really look at it. Not any one of these people running are a savior or celebrity. But it is true that us women can be catty and jealous at times. I've seen, done it, and heard it. Online and especially offline.

Does that mean that you don't mind unjustly being accused of being jealous just because you dislike another female or that you agree with those who have said that to me and others here who have written things against Palin? I know there are SOME women who can be catty and jealous at times but to just say "us women" is really generalizing and I must respectfully disagree. Annie

When I was referring to "us women" I also put in their "at times" and it was not just directly towards the Palin topics...I meant at times in general with a variety of things in our society. It is in human nature of women. Yes, some overcomes it, while some live for it. We are critcial people. Men are stratight forward thinkers, while our minds have a mulitude of things going on. ANd I do believe it is part nature and part training (by others) because if you look at little girls playing and little boys playing it is kinda obvious. The girls are more sensitive and critical while the boys don't pay attention to these things as much. This is not something that is necessarily a negative. But we are just a little too critical of our gender at times. And sometimes when some women feel threatened by a more dominant woman we tend to let the criticism fly.

LOL Jealous that's the one I like, I mean really wouldn't that mean that I would actually want her life? lmao I'm sorry I have no interest in having her life. I at first thought that the announcement of her as the VP pick was what changed her, you know when the McCain camp sunk their claws into her but after much reading I'm no longer under that notion. I think it's all a crock. Maybe the conservative women on this site are jealous of Michelle and Barack.

I understand how you feel. I don't like people implying that I'm a bigot just because I don't want Barak Obama to be President. His skin color and/or ethnic background has absolutely nothing to do with why I'm opposed to him. It's his views and policies to which I object. Therefore, I'll allow you to be against Sara Palin for whatever reason if you'll allow me the same courtesy.
