because we are always curious. like for example, you said "do not open this" but i still did because i was curious what the contents are and i was even intrigued. curiosity will sometimes put us into trouble but it's a part the human nature. or i may call it part of our instinct to be curious.

this is what can be said as human tendency for DONTS and since we have tendency like this that why i could say we have DONTS listing if we do only right things then there is no need of DONTS listings as well and other part says that its about curiosity to know what out there

I remember reading Pandora's box a long time ago from a book my mom own. It said that she should not open the box because it contains evil and if opened all hell will break loose. Still she opened it because of her curiosity. So that is why I am curious as well as those people who have opened this discussion of yours.

When I first saw the topic "Do not open this discussion" I'm a bit curious. Then I looked at the description. I read it until "why do people sometimes do exact opposite of ...." then I got interested what is thrill of this discussion. So I opened it then I read the complete description of this discussion. Then I replied! Just like what you have said. Since I opened your discussion and read it I'll reply as well. I also don't know why others do the same thing, doing the opposite of the instructions given. I also want to know. Happy mylotting!

Hi red! First I will tell you that I really didn't want
to answer this discussion because I don't like to be
tricked into answering something for the sake of letting
someone else think that they got over on everyone else.
You think you were being cute or slick and knew you would
get people's attention. But you didn't get mine! The
reason I answered your discussion is because I stopped
to look at that absolutely gorgious face on that baby
in your avatar! If it wasn't for him I would not have
answered your discussion, but I just couldn't resist
that little doll face! Who is that beautiful angel?
Your son? He is a very pretty little baby!

It's because human always trying to search the answer why it's not to do it. We are curious about something and we disobey and the rule. And about the rules which implemented by the authority saying Do not litter or Do not throw your garbage here,it's mean that they are really don't care coz they think it's only rule writen by the same people like them. Happy posting.

Hello red! Sorry but I did not open it. hehe. I opened my mail and found a message from mylot. hehe(peace!)But honestly I found this topic very interesting thats why I wanted to comment. My answer to your question is that I believe people do the opposite when told because of curiosity. Because the more one is prohibited to do a certain thing, the more one will have the desire to investigate and learn. The person who will read these kind of instructions will definitely wonder why would they prevent him to do that thing. What will be the punishment if I do these? Would they really capture me after doing these? So that he will have to look for proof if these instructions and punishment are really implemented. What do you think? Did I answer your question? Happy mylotting!

Your title wakes up people's curiosity and it makes us open it. People are adventurous and are willing to risk sometimes just to satisfy their curiosity. In other cases, the are those who find their sense of importance by violating instructions.

It's a human response. If humans never did what they were told not to do, we'd still be in the caves. We'd have no fire for instance. Can't you just imagine that Mom saying "Hunk now you leave that burning tree alone, you're going to get hurt" Well if Hunk obeyed where would we be. Huh
