The main thing I like about Japan is the people's discipline. Japan is one of the most disciplined countries in the world in my opinion. I guess this trait is the primary reason why they're so successful.

I guess their religion is the reason they are so disciplined. Zen Buddhisim and the philosophy "life is short like a bubble in the streams or a lightning in the sky" explains why they try to perfect whatever they are doing. Another one that I like about them is the unity with self, with nature, and with the universe.

As to your 3d animation endeavor, I bid you good luck. I dont know anything about 3d making but Im a bit visual guy so if you need to seek advice, I hope I can help. Gambate ne....
As for the sad part, Im not sure yet about that but they say that they have a longer hours of school and work compare to other nations. What more, the standard of living especially in the urban areas are relatively high. The last thing I know is that nowadays, to get by, both parents work and decided not to have a baby anytime soon.
As for the trip to japan, I also want to do the same. Let's hope that we could get there.

Who is your favorite japanese celeb? Mine is Jun Matsumoto. When I saw a video clip in youtube(wth pictures from childhood to celebhood), I immediately liked him. I also like Mao Inoue. She is so cute.

hyakkimaru, i'm also a fan of Kitagawa Keiko..although i'm a girl, i find her very beautiful..and she's also a very good actress, too..try watching her movie "dear friend"..it's a really nice movie.

I only watched her on Mop Girl, Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu and Sailormoon. I'll try to watch Dear Friends. hehe I also like Erika Toda, Nagasawa Masami, Yui Aragaki, Aya Ueto, hmmm and many more XD
I love their food and culture too.
They got the best tea in the world - green tea.
My favorite part of Japan is Kyoto. It's very beautiful.
It's a very clean country too.

Hi! Have you been to Kyoto? I also want to go there. That city is older than Manila twice or even more. There are so many old buildings there and some are even a world heritage site. I want to visit them all someday.
