I'm expecting my 1st baby. I pray everyday that I will give my daughter my best in every possible way. To be a mother is my greatest dream in the world, and the highest blessing I think that God can bestow upon a woman. I have to be a better mother to my daughter than mine was to me. I know for a fact that I will be.

congratulations! we all want to be the best mom we could be and we take guidelines after how our mothers raised us.

Thanks. I'm really happy. But no, I defintely won't be taking any guidelines on how to raise my daughter by the way I was raised. I'm a good person now after being out on my own for awhile. I'll just say I couldn't wait to leave my parent's house, and I would've done just about anything to get away with legit, valid reasons.

Can you? Can anyone? If you have a good mother, it is hard to qualifiy a statement like that. If you had a horrible mother, then it is easy to be able to say that you are. It also depends on by what standards you are measuring. Society moulds us as much as our parents, so it is not really a fair "competition" is it?

i've had a great mom. if i cannot be better mom then i'd be might as well be good as her to my kids. as a mother, we all want to be better. our moms are the great and we get inspiration from them to be better moms.

I think everyone tries to provide more for their children than what they had as children but I could never be a better mother than mine. I just hope that I am as good as she is. I feel like I had the best teacher in the world so I am doing pretty good! LOL

I am expecting my 3rd one right now and I have two boys that loves to keep me busy everyday. I suppose I would say my Mom does the same thing when we were kids, but of course every kids are different and you raised them differently. I won't say I'm a better parent to my own mother when we were kids, but when we started growing up that's when everything change, but I'm hoping to be the best parent as I could.
